nightmare geese is such a weird thing to argue about because it's basically just a powered up geese with no lore explanation to it. generally speaking i'd think of it as just geese cut loose. plenty of chi everywhere on him but still geese. there aren't any real feats or majorly different things you can argue for beyond "he hits harder, faster, and uses a couple techniques better." it's frankly what he should be in the first place really.

this isn't something to ignore on X, at least.
in Command Mission's Ultimate Armor he flies and has 3 or 4 different ways to attack you. two giant guns, a chest beam, and not sure if there's anything else or if that was it. do know Nova Strike in this mode is pretty much button mashing to attack in 4 different ways and can focus on single targets or AOE.

yeah, by going boom or nuking i don't mean he's self destructing.
that's just his energy expanding outwards, greatly enhanced by Weltall, to make what's basically a giant nuclear explosion that wiped out the town. Weltall is specifically designed for Id so it could do that. him, his mech? both completely unharmed.

and thanks to lore, there's no real limit to it either. he'd be able to do it again immediately afterwards too. Fei would generally be the limiter to Id in that he'd wake up, if it's just Id himself in full control, no issues will exist, which is why he in Weltall could wreck a continent (not in one blast, over a night) and easily just ran through Solaris, making one of its cities crash after busting out of a protected hanger and wrecking it in seconds. it's not like it's "here's one big burst attack, now he needs cooldown," he's just a giant battery and Weltall's a huge amplifier that makes him a legit city buster when emotionally unstable. which he is here.

by end-game she's come to terms with her Esper powers and has no problem actively using them or staying in it.
so i'd say since she gets put 30 feet away from a bunch of people trying to kill her.

it'd make a hell of a lot more sense than pulling a sword out. she knows what she's best at and can bust it out with two high speed allies. why would she pick the dumbest choice possible?

i do remember arguing a bit with lopen i think on this once before. think it was terrified Dracula and he figured Dracula could just continuously escape so he'd fight a bit, flee, repeat.

though i don't think there's much to question that here. i mean technically he COULD try to fly away but that would assume a lot more control than i'd give to an Id who's scared out of his mind, trapped in a boss room with only one exit, and the enemy is attacking you from that exit.

fairly limited options there! though considering Id's personality and his existence, only one result is going to happen if you do that.

it depends a bit on the character what fighting in self defense when scared shitless means.
some of them will flee. they're scared, they won't try to fight back much.
others will fight.

Id's neither. his emotions will effectively just trigger Weltall, amplify the ether, and it's nuke time. none of this will be intentional, there just isn't going to be any control whatsoever and everything else is going to die.

that's because the "nerf" isn't an actual nerf here.
on other characters it might be but on Id it's a buff. you could not ask for a better buff for him, you're asking a guy who makes everything explode when highly emotional and unstable events occur to not behave in the way he would actually behave. for Id, everything going boom is self defense. he literally cannot help himself in this state, that's the only thing you're going to get.

if that was actually preselected then that's just plain bad ability usage of shooting yourself in the foot.


i mean if he still has allies around at the time they'd be dead too. and it's possible, i guess. though i wouldn't deem it likely. everything's getting caught up in there.

he is a split personality effectively developed to kill everything because of fear and trauma.
and you have made him be completely about fear and trauma.

whenever something bad happened to Fei and Id popped up, everything else died. generally the main thing that holds Weltall id back is personality, the guy is naturally very, very cocky and arrogant. he knows how strong he is and generally doesn't go full power. but you make him scared and well, he can't actually help himself anymore. he's just automatically going to wreck everything.

you are asking for characters to forego self preservation to teleport into a place that they have no idea what's there or how it's laid out so they can hopefully, by chance, find a guy in a cockpit that's probably too small for them to properly be in anyway, effectively saying that even if they somehow teleport into the right spot they're pretty much cut into pieces.


you want them to effectively kill themselves and then, after that, somehow... kill him?
despite the fact that he's terrified already and he's in an empty room with a door behind a door. and nobody is going to attack him and accidentally end up making him nuke everything.
