Yea I got a really bad one in Chiang Mai from Chang Beer, another drink I'll never touch again. Beer buffets are crazy popular there, $6 for all you can drink draft beer from 5-10pm. I drank around 25 in 3 hours, then some how managed to drive my bike across town to a place called Bus Bar where I drank a bottle of Sang Som with some friends. Woke up the next morning and spent 30 minutes with my head in the toilet. Was wondering how I got home when I decided to look out my window and saw my bike parked out front. Don't remember anything after getting to Bus Bar. Ended up not leach in my apartment for 2 days because of it. Normally didn't use my a/c, did for that entire time. And OP, here are some other drinks I've had that no one likely has tried unless they've been to Southeast Asia. Liquors: Black Cock Rum (that is actually the name) Sang Som Hong Thong Beer: Chang Leo (my favourite here) Singha Tiger I know there are plenty more, just can't think of them. --- How can one person post so much stupid s***? |

And most of the stuff is just cultural stuff, Thais tend to let their parents control way too many aspects of their lives, even when they are married with their own family. Her father is a piece of shit though. He lives 5km from us but has seen his granddaughter a half dozen times in 15 months. Before she got pregnant and we were only dating he told her if she left me then he would take care of her financially and she wouldn't have to work anymore. Guy makes like $100,000us per month but never gave us a wedding gift, has never bought anything for his granddaughter, etc but he'll buy some random bitch he's been dating for a month a car or house. --- How can one person post so much stupid s***? |

They bought it because it would keep me from having to drive my wife to work every day and they think it'll be safer than my CBR when we take our daughter with us. Just showed up to our house with it like 15 minutes ago and handed us the keys.   It's a Honda PCX 150. A Honda Click 125 and the remainder in cash would have been better but definitely not going to complain about it. Here on the other hand, it's fucking crazy. Insects literally everywhere. If you leave the door open in the evening your house will be swarmed with bugs of all different types. I don't mind the reptiles as they never bother you but I have a 15 month old and the geckos shit everywhere and I don't need her treading onto it everywhere she goes. I won't even pour cereal in the dark anymore. Did it once about 2 years ago, started walking back upstairs and felt stuff crawling on my hand. The bowl was full of hundreds of tiny ants. They manged to infest the entire box of cereal which had only been bought that day and opened about 2 hours earlier. --- How can one person post so much stupid s***? |

Pretty thick jungle around within half a kilometre. We figured the snake was there trying to hunt rats (or possibly small street dogs). Sami1000 posted... I fucking hate snakes. I actually really like them. When I lived in Canada I hate a 7' red tailed boa and a 4' ball python that were actually housed together (they got a long great, would even share the same hide). But when I nearly ran over that king cobra with my motorcycle I thought I was going to shit myself. Never lifted my legs into the air so fast in my life. Thing was fucking huge. We ended up putting it into the bed of a pick up and drove a few kilometres away and released it into the jungle. It's the first time I've seen a wild python here. It's to keep them from crying and sometimes ends up killing the baby and the woman will still carry that baby all day. It was truly one of the most depressing places I've ever been. The average Cambodians are great but due to corruption and poverty gangs are allowed to act with impunity. Kids are used by gangs to try and swindle soft hearted foreigners. They have agreements with shop owners where a tourist will buy a product (usually powdered milk for babies) and after they leave, the gangs will sell it back to the shop. Siam Reap is the kids. Any guy who lives in Cambodia as an expat I don't think I could trust. Especially middle aged single men. Thailand has child prostitution problems but no where near on the level of some of their neighbours. And you'd have to go out of your way to find it here. When I was in Siam Reap (where Angkor Wat is) I was offered sex with a child on more than one occasion. Including by a girl who couldn't have been more than 8 who came right up to me and offered to suck my dick for $10 (they use USD in Cambodia mostly). Winning ticket is worth 6 million baht or about $200,000USD (there are usually around 30 winners each time). A woman won yesterday and started celebrating with friends and family. Her sister was obviously jealous. The sister got her to go for a drive with her in her car. She then proceeded to drive extremely fast and some how opened the passenger door and shoved her sister out of the car causing her death. She then tried to take her lottery ticket and claim it. I'll have to try and find an article in English. My wife was translating part of the Thai article so there is likely more to this. Absolutely insane that you would murder your own blood over that. It could have been 200 million instead and it would still be beyond fucked up. --- How can one person post so much stupid s***? |
