These are entertainment devices more than ones that encourage healthy living. Really, there is nothing you can do besides controlling portion sizes and avoid processed sugar. Calorie counting is often a crapshoot because the calorie counts per serving are estimations that can be off as much as twenty percent AND if you ever eat out who knows what fats and sugars were used to cook your food to make it taste better than the stuff you do at home? Even exercise is mostly for toning during weight loss and minor calorie burn because even the most intense cardio is super inefficient compared to just not eating the thing that's messing with your goals. To say nothing of the shock our bodies experience and subsequent over eating many of us do post workout.

Absolutely. With the exception of a handful of classes I enjoyed all of the school work, my work study, my friends, my roommates, where I lived especially 2.5 years after I moved into the college co-op. The only thing I didn't really dig was the cold.

As much as I love Gothel, there's no real mitigating the harm she did. I think part of the reason she's my favorite Disney villainess is because of how realistic her villainy is, and how good she is at hiding her mercenary motive.

We'd rather be wrong and feel justified than be right and feel cheated. It's not surprising. It's not even disappointing anymore.

GOP politicians understand this and ride this resentiment for all its worth. I feel like some of us would be more at home there, then trying to justify themselves to people who have been warning them about their priorities for twenty months, and who don't have time for excuses.

It is kind of tiresome that minorities and poor people always end up shouldering an uneven distribution of the yoke, but it's 2017 and the Klan is marching the streets in Charlottesville. What was old is now new again.

My favorite Cyclops moment might be in the first issue of Morrison's E for Extinction where he calmly crashes the Blackbird (or which ever jet this was) in a South American jungle musing about insurance, while Wolverine gives him all the shade at having apparently lost his mind. Because getting shot down by sentinels and crashing a multi-million dollar jet isn't just part of one's day to day life, even for the X-Men. Of course this is during his whole PTSD after having been possessed by Apocalypse and his marriage is falling apart. But for all the drama in his life, he seems so whimsically over all of it.

Of course by the end of that issue Cassandra Nova went on to commit the most horrifying act of mutant genocide the Marvel Universe had ever seen up to that point. Major bummer.

Though I've never played an MMO, the way I've seen people describe the raids in them and what they demand of players, makes it sound oddly similar to the hard levels in tower defense games I played, except you have to fill in the rolls of all the tanks, healers and DPSes at once.

Nah, usually everyone has a job or two, and you just do that job. The healer may have to worry about keeping up dps, but typically only has to worry about the tank so long as DPS stay in the their lanes. The tank maintains aggro, and brings a bit of support as the situation demands, and the dps just keep attacking and avoid dying to encounter mechanics. If everyone does their role to satisfaction, things will work out fine.

I've never heard of MMORPG PVP needing a tank, because human players aren't affected by aggro AI. Overwatch and their team shielding mechanics are the closest thing I can think of to tanking in PVP, and Overwatch isn't an MMOPRG.

You have armored fighters who do sustained dps through damage, you have squishy specialized dps, you have support, and you have healers. I know of no exception to this breakdown.

EDIT: Also, the gear requirements of good PVE dps can be savage, but if they're up there a team of dps can end a challenge in seconds before an encounter even has a chance to resolve a fatal attack. You just all bring interrupts and movement debuffs, and your most turgid e-peen. Assuming there's no other mechanics to worry about you can often end the whole mess in ten seconds with no one dead. Of course this is content you're already grossly overleveled for, or mechanics in need of rebalancing.

Sad to see there are so few Jean Grey fans. Although I adore Famke Jannsen, Jean has been so so in the movies. I've loved Jean Grey since the 90s cartoon. Idk what is it about her. I think it was that she was this mostly normal, kind woman living her best life, but is also the host of a manifestation of a cosmic force... that extreme duality has intrigued me since I was a kid I think.

Comic book Jean is badass. And when she loses her temper people literally void their bowels because she telekineticaly purges the contents of their stomach through their intestines and into their shorts. It's savage.

The problem is she seems to walk this line where she's the load and plays second fiddle to Cyclops or Wolverine or whomever, or she completely trivializes the threat of whatever they're fighting and turns it into a putrid smear, while also working as the telepathic phone operator for the team. After the whole Phoenix thing her power creep just won't stop (there may even be a story reason for this), she's been on this rotation where she keeps getting written out of stories because her presence undermines the tension.

Then you look at her in other X-Men media. the 90's cartoon iteration of Jean Grey is always screaming and fainting and getting rescued, and that's trash. What the fuck is that. She gets her badass Phoenix moment, but it's kind of forgotten after the third season and she never gets an episode spotlight again. SAD!

X1 Jean is cool and all, but X2 Jean is lit and blows the panties off of everyone. Everything about X3 is fake news. On the whole, I don't think any of the visual media has shown us the "fiery redhead who beat the pants off the Shi'ar Imperial Guard."

Doesn't he have the ability to instantly know angles that would allow him to bounce his eye beam and hit things? That would imply some superhuman spatial awareness.

It's unclear if this is super human or if it's something he learned to compensate for the disability of not being able to see naturally. It's my opinion it's taught muscle memory, but I'm not sold on anything
