Some people here are really adamant about not admitting that Christians are the most persecuted group in the world. Kinda disturbing, tbqh.

It doesn't align with their worldview. To young liberals who believe in social Marxism (which is much of this board), white people and Christians are "power groups," so claims of persecution against them can be laughed off or downplayed as not being as severe as the issues of other persecuted groups. Even though this is based solely out of ignorance about how Christians are treated in majority-Muslim countries, it doesn't stop the dumb reaction.

I would have to disagree slightly in that Jews are probably more persecuted per capita, but Christians are so much larger of a group that they probably do take the crown.

I admit, I read the headline and my skepticism rises. I'm used to living in America where Christians are the super-majority and practically dominate everything in our culture. It just seems a bit weird to hear a group that I perceive (that's important!) to be a super majority complain about being the most persecuted.

However, after reading the article and a few others, there's nothing I can really argue against, it seems solid. It's easy to forget how things work in places you're incredibly disconnected from (the middle east).

in a similar vein to supporting things that align with your worldview, it doesn't surprise me that FoxNews is wholeheartedly embracing this article. it heavily resonates with their viewer base because victim complex AND it points a negative finger towards Islam repeatedly. I understand why, because Muslims are normally the ones attacking Christians, but you can't deny that a certain chunk of America has a Muslim-bias and stuff like this just enforces that further.
