RO was bad. characters were boring, flat and pointless. the fan service was more annoying and "eye rolling" than cool (there was absolutely no reason to include Tarkin other than fan service, for example).

I only know a handful of songs by them, but my favorite is Once in a Lifetime, and I also like Road to Nowhere a lot.

those are both good. go listen to their albums since you dig those tracks, you'll probably find a lot more you like.

yeah that gun is complete beast in NG, but once you get into NG+ or NG++ (is that a thing in BL1, i forget) the enemies all have elemental resistances up the wazoo and its not as effective

i have an ever growing backlog and i still buy games because i want to play them. i rationalize buying them before i'm ready to play because either

- i want a physical copy, or the 'limited edition' of said physical copy
- i want to give the devs as much support as possible (i bought Nioh at full price, finally started it the other day)
- it's a good sale

don't worry too much about weapons being fragile at the start of the game. wooden things break fast, but you'll get more durable ones later.
