Probably 80% of the people voting weren't even born yet, so none of them experienced SMB revitalizing the industry and therefore 1985 is of little to no meaning to them. And I'm one of these people. I knew right away that the winner of this contest wasn't going to be an NES or SNES era year for that very reason. As much as this board cherishes the PSX era years, there are many people voting who were babbies at that time and didn't get their start until the PS2 or, hell, even later. | BlueCrystalTear 04/23/17 12:44:32 AM #6 | What I do is write the first week's worth (7 to 14, as I never post more than two a day), then write the rest as I go. Sometimes as I write something, an argument I make changes my logic for its placement, so it's very helpful for me to write them ahead (even if you're not writing the entire list ahead). I suggest that you write the first couple ahead of time (especially the nadir of your list, since that's likely to be long given what it is) and see how it goes from there. Some people don't like writing ahead. Me, I do - because the writing itself is the fun part.
