A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drugging a four-year-old girl with a narcotic that induced sleep and impaired the young victim’s state of consciousness in Fukuoka.

Police said Naruhito Tokunaga, who is a friend of the girl's father, has been charged with inflicting bodily harm.

The incident occurred at a shopping center on July 16, Fuji TV reported. Tokunaga allegedly gave the girl a sleep-inducing drug while they were at the center between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. When she returned home, the girl fell over and began making strange noises. Her parents took her to a hospital where doctors said that her behavior was due to acute drug intoxication which impaired her consciousness.

The girl took two days to recover. Police said she told them that Tokunaga “made her take a pill.”

Police said Tokunaga has denied the charge and claims to have no recollection of the incident.

By the time these Mexican bakers were ready to go home, the floodwaters were already too high. Instead of worrying about the fate of their city, however, they decided to put their talents to good use and bake hundreds of loaves of bread for their fellow hurricane victims.

The four bakers of El Bolillo Bakery in Houston, Texas had been working a late shift when the water levels on the street became too dangerous.

The bakery, which specializes in Mexican pastries and sweet treats, was able to stay relatively dry throughout the storm. Additionally, the facilities still had electricity.

So, the cooks got to work making pan dulce – a kind of Mexican sweet bread – all through the day and night. By the time they were rescued, the bakers had already used over 4,000 pounds of flour.

The cooks then spent the next couple days distributing the bread to emergency shelters around the city.

The gesture is even sweeter than the bread they were handing out.

Spain told the North Korean embassy on Thursday to reduce its staff in the country in protest against Pyongyang's repeated missile launches and nuclear weapons tests.

North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile programmes "create a serious threat to peace in the region and to global security," the foreign ministry said in a statement.

THREE boys have been accused of gang raping a goat after becoming obsessed with bestiality porn on YouTube.

The youths, from Sidi Al Kamel spent a week in hospital being treated after the animal transmitted the disease to them, Morocco World News reported, citing the Moroccan daily Al Akhbar newspaper.

The UK has more radicalised Muslims than any other European country, EU counter-terrorism co-ordinator Gilles de Kerchove revealed. Foreign terrorist threats from the middle east or "ISIS hotspots" or equivlent are not even close to as big, powerful or bad as we feared. They're crippled and helpless. Not a threat.

However dosmetic threats are the danger from Europeans in their own populations being radicalized. With Car attacks and bombs being shown to be super effective at spreading fear and many thousands of suspected radicals being watched, along with the ease of Islamic groups radicalizing people the world over using the internet, the odds are that there will be many more car attacks and bombings between now and Christmas across Europe and various intelligence agencies are burning the candle at both ends to prevent it.

A Swiss man caught drink driving without a licence seems set in his errant ways: When responding to a summons over the incident he drove to the police station, drunk.

Police in the central Swiss city of Lucerne pulled the 61-year-old man over last Sunday, discovering that he was drunk and had already lost his licence after previously driving under the influence.

But responding on Thursday to a police summons over the incident, he appeared unrepentant.

He drove to the station with a high level of alcohol in his blood, police said in a statement, adding that they had confiscated his vehicle.

Every parent’s nightmare was narrowly averted on Wednesday afternoon after a young girl was saved from an attacker by a passer-by.

The girl, whose age was given as 12 by newspaper 20 Minuten, was cycling to her home in Wattenwil, near Thun in the canton of Bern, when she was pushed from her bike and pulled into an adjacent cornfield by an unknown assailant, Bern police said in a statement.

By chance, a woman driving her car past the scene spotted the schoolgirl and went to her aid, chasing away her attacker.

Police launched a major search for the assailant, who was eventually tracked down. The 56-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody, said police.

An unemployed 47-year-old man dressed in student gym attire has been arrested after trespassing in a high school building and stealing a pair of shoes belonging to a female student, in Niihama City, Ehime Prefecture.

According to police, the incident occurred just before dawn on Thursday. Fuji TV reported that a security alarm went off at a prefectural high school. When police arrived at the scene, they spotted a male in a first-floor classroom, wearing bloomers resembling children's gym shorts, white socks, a woman’s wig, and a pair of stolen gym shoes belonging to a female high school student.

Police said the suspect, Natsuki Iwasaki, a resident of Saijo City, has been charged with theft and trespassing on private property.

Police said Iwasaki has partially admitted to the allegations and quoted him as saying, "Although I did put on the shoes, I had no intention of stealing them. I simply wore them because I thought they would look good with my bloomers.”

Police are questioning Iwasaki about whether he has committed similar offenses in the past.
