He wrote a good amount of the X-Wing series which is one of my favorite overall. Hell, I feel meals at schools should be completely free. I can understand charging a price if there's limited supply but with how much we waste I doubt supply is ever an issue. He did, but it's not that simple because there was more than one version of some stories and some things were at greater degrees of completion or detail. He had to use his judgment on what was the closest to his father's last vision and he made some mistakes (which have mostly been rectified in later books). For one chapter, The Ruin of Doriath, he had to more extensively editorialize and even invent some things, which he later came to regret. Interesting. Thank you for the insight. The Silmarillion is one of my favorite as well, after I got over it feeling like a history book, and was not aware there's different versions. Curious though, what do you define as Japanese games? Technically the Final Fantasy series is a Japanese game series. And then of course there's the various dating SIM games some of which are starting to get translated and put on Steam I think. Also, why no mention of food? Some folks probably do not even know where to begin as far as ingredients, supplies, recipes, etc. My friend's sister bought a kit for his birthday and beside one tray that he had to buy separately he was able to cook the meal using the ingredients and supplies provided. He said the meal was good it but found it to be too much of a hassle. I consider cooking almost like a hobby. You gotta enjoy it to get into it. If you're only doing it to sustain yourself that's fine but would definitely feel like a hassle. I kinda find it comparable to some model kits. You buy the kit with the instructions and pieces all included and you assemble it. The issue I mostly have with some burger joints is that they give too much, as odd as that may sound. Five Guys definitely load you up on fries and their Jr. burger is bigger than most other burgers. I still feel I am getting my moneys worth but I would prefer if most places offered smaller size orders for a lower price than have only one size and one price and you gotta choose between eating it all in one sitting or saving half for later but by then it's not as fresh. The Hat is another place where their fries come in only one size and cost about $4-5 but it is enough fries for maybe 3-4 people. For what I'm paying, it's a simple good burger that doesn't need all these extra fixin (i.e. bacon, avocado, etc,) in my opinion. Five Guys or The Habit are good too but I'll be paying almost twice or more for something similar. For something that is just simply beef patty, lettuce, tomato, some sauce, and maybe a few extra stuff, personally for me I feel it shouldn't be that costly. Nowadays I'm trying to eat less so usually just order a hamburger with double meat, extra whole grilled onions, and chopped chili. The whole thing cost me only about $3.43 with Los Angeles county tax. But as a whole I wouldn't say they all enter the military for noble reasons. For some they're doing it for the college grant, for some it is the only thing they can do after high school, for some they're only doing it because their family have a history of being in the military and they're carrying out family traditions, for some it offer some unique experiences that would be helpful in certain civilian jobs, etc, etc. I think it really comes down to the individual person. My friends and I mentioned on our survey that we wanted a quiet dorm with students who want to focus on their studies and surprisingly our dorm was like that. It was only during dorm wide events that it was a little noisy. Our dorm life wasn't like any stereotypical dorm life as depicted in movies/TV series. My one friend who did ended up in the party dorm once walked in on his roommate having sex with his, the roommate's, girlfriend. Personally for me it wasn't until my last year of college that I attended parties hosted by fellow engineering students. Granted I was never in the military so honestly do not know how much gear one usually take while on duty. I am surprise he would carry something like a kelvar vest on him. Why isn't that issued from the armoury? Does each active soldier has his/her own personal vest? Though I guess the workers coulda made an exception. When my Boy Scouts troop was traveling to Hawaii we had our flags inside a 6 feet x 8 inch PVC tube. Apartments weren't too different from the dorms except you get your own room and shared the bathrooms, kitchen, and living room with three others. For better or worse I had four close high school friends attending the same college as me and we ended up as college roommates/neighbors so I didn't make any new college friends on my own. The ones I did meet, I met through one of my high school friends who was pretty friendly with everyone in our dorms. All my other college friends I later met was through my engineering core classes. The only thing bad I thought about living in the dorms or apartments was dealing with the laziness and sloppiness of some people. We had guys making a mess of the toilets, pissing/shitting over the seats, leaving their hair shavings around the sink, and in the case of one high school friend, borrowing dishes and utensils but never washing them until asked to do so. Fortunately my dorm was the calmer dorm and rarely do you hear people blasting music. One high school friend ended up in the "party" dorm and man was it noisy there. I wasn't perfect myself as I had trouble waking up to my alarm and kept waking up one friend who in turn woke me up. --- "You must gather your party before venturing forth" "Go for the eyes Boo!
