Unlike other oil rich countries like the Middle East it didn't seem Venezuela put in enough effort to find an alternative export. They didn't seem to "future proof" their market well enough.

Not me in particular but my friends were. We planned a golf theme bar crawl in the downtown of Fullerton, CA where maybe in one block there were already several bars. We had rules setup and whatnot where not drinking a pint at each bar is par two, going to the restroom is par one, etc, etc.

My friends started at maybe 5-6pm and I joined in at 8pm so they were already hammer. I think we even had a security guard following us around as I saw the same guy in each of the bars we went to and he kept talking into a mic piece. By our third or so bar, after I arrived, bouncers were already denying our group. I was allowed in but my friends weren't. I think we called it soon after that. Overall it was still fun but I can't imagine starting that early and still drinking at 10pm.

I tried to replay Suikoden some years back and but kinda killed my interest when I was grinding for Water Rune pieces. I had hoped to stack my main characters with them and never worry about healing ever again. I might give Suikoden III a chance some day but am not sure about IV and V. Pity Genso Suikogaiden 1 and 2 were never officially translated.

I don't know why but I was obsess with the world of Suikoden for a while. Maybe it was because of the various plots and conflicts that were going about and how many of characters returned to continue their story. My friend mentioned that it was based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms story.

Yup. Friend and me replayed Secret of Mana about a year or two ago. We tried to get through Seiken Densetsu 3 but probably got only a quarter of the way. I enjoyed Secret of Evermore as well and wished it had co-op.

In my second time of playing Secret of Mana with my friend it felt so much easier. I think between him controlling one character and me actually leveling up my magic made a huge difference.

On another note, I have been finding myself replaying older games more so than playing new games. Hell, if it doesn't have co-op I will wait until the GotY edition is out with all the DLCs and on sale.

That's the other thing. Cars should theoretically be getting safer. And once self-driving cars become a thing, are those people still going to be charged insurance on them because they own and operate the car? Will it be at the same rate as non-self driving car owners?

My car has automated lane assist and cruise control. Which means I set it on the freeway and it will keep me in the lanes and automatically brake/speed up when necessary. It also has collision detection and automatic braking. Should I be paying the same amount in insurance as a car that is identical in cost to mine but doesn't have that safety feature?

Given that some states/insurances kinda consider both drivers at fault, I have doubts it will change. Its just baffling that you could be safely driving down a road, someone hit you, and now the insurance consider you a high risk policy holder and raise your premium.

Personally I am fine if car insurance was optional but in turn that could mean more of the burden would be on the insurance itself if the policy holder is hit by an uninsured driver.

so long as I don't cause some catastrophic accident.

The only benefit of having car insurance is preventing that catastrophic incident. Otherwise it will never pay off.

That's the thing though, we never know if/when we will get into a car accident or the extent of the damage. I'll agree it's one big gamble/lottery system but some folks might not be able to pay for these catastrophic incident and I am not sure if some folks want to "win" this gamble/lottery and end up having to "cash-in".

Nowadays cars have almost too much tech in them. If someone rear-end me it won't be just some hundreds to replace the bumper but probably some thousand or so for the bumper and sensors inside the bumper and this is just for a simple fender bender.

Do you have enough money saved up to cover your arse if anything goes wrong with your health, car, etc? Two friends and I did Quick Play for the first time and it was actually fun. I think the first three games had players who seemed new as they didn't run away from our attacks. I was killing players with Murky's melee attack. Fourth game actually had one or two players who knew what they were doing so we had to play smarter there.

By the fifth game the opposing team definitely knew what they were doing. Didn't help that my friends and I were less coordinated and I was getting cocky. I thought I could sneak in with Sylvanas but unlike the previous games, they didn't ignore me. Our two teammates said they were new and after it was obvious we weren't going to win they left the game. My two friends and I stayed in the game and made the opposing team fight for every foot they gained. I was surprise we survived three 100% Zerg swarms in Braxis Holdout before losing. I had expected us to lose a bit faster with two AIs on our team and a full Zerg rush.

Last game had a Chromie that my friends and I were just getting annoyed with. Before losing the game us three just rushed that player but somehow killed that Chromie along with a Muradin and L-Ming. I don't know if they just got careless or it was a pity death.
