I kind of enjoy Raven more, most of the time I find Wolverine to be kinda...........overrated?, Overloved?, I dunno, I just don't like him as much as I use to....

I'd say overloved. He is a fascinating character, with a rich history and (depending on the writer) a surprising amount of depth. The fact that he's lived so long allows them to write him into scores of historical events, which I've always found interesting.

When they write him in a way that shows how world-weary he is, how much guilt and regret he lives with, how he is afraid to love or open up to others because everyone he's ever loved ends up dead... he can be a very deep, sympathetic character.

Angsty teens fall in love with berserker characters, because it appeals to their helplessness and revenge fantasies. I love when Wolverine goes on a violent killing spree as much as the next fan, but where I really love Wolverine is when a *good* writer can reveal his humanity.

Out of curiosity, would I enjoy it if I hated Mad Max: Fury Road? I was bored by that movie and its lack of almost and story or dialog. I know the point was the over-the-top impressive action, but that isn't enough for me by itself. I like action to have a purpose (as an example, think of Die Hard). Is the game like this as well?

The game doesn't follow the movie exactly, although it does tie into it. I wouldn't call the game's story it's strong point, at all.

The biggest draw (for me, anyway) was the car combat. It's awesome. Especially when your rig is fully upgraded. You can ram, shoot out tires, use a harpoon to pull a door off, reload the harpoon and pull the driver out... there's a lot of ways to approach car combat.

The on-foot melee combat is pretty brutal, too. Very reminiscent of the Arkham games.

Yeah, too bad about the game-breaking bug that the developer never bothered to patch.

what bug is that?

Because Ive played 29 hours and still not noticed anything

I wouldn't call it game breaking, but some of the in-game challenges are buggy, and there's a trophy for completing them.

I planned on platinuming the game, but couldn't get this one challenge to "complete" even though I had done it. It was for getting Gutgash's territory up to 100%.

Spent so much fucking time ticking off challenge after challenge. There's only a handful that are even remotely difficult, but there's so fucking many of them that it gets tedious. I don't have the heart to restart the game and try again.

Signal is awesome. You can drive 100s of miles with no interruption. Sometimes, when you pass under a bridge or there are a lot of tall buildings or trees around you can get some crummy reception, but in my experience this doesn't happen often. If you work in a city with a lot of tall buildings it might be an issue. Not sure. I do remember running into some bad signals in Manhattan, but I live near Boston and never had the issue there.

I ran it up the pillar but just used tape instead of trying to install it, but I don't care what it looks like. So it's just taped along my pillar, then runs loose and it's tucked behind the "oh-shit' handles, out my rear door and sits on the roof.

I might get it professionally installed, though. This has never been a problem before as no one ever goes in my back seat, but now I have kids and they're constantly in and out of the back and the wire is sort of a nuisance.

I have a plug-and-play Sirius/XM radio and it works great. The only drawback is that you have more wires and shit to deal with, but you can get a plug-and-play "installed" if you want to spend that money. Most car audio places will run the antenna up under your roof and hide it away, making it come down the windshield pillar, and run the power cord up behind the dash to come out the top of the dash. You can have it done so it docks in the windshield like normal, or they can actually put the dock in the dash somewhere. I've seen it done both ways and it looks a lot cleaner, but I haven't bothered to do it myself.

I used to work for a specialized trucking company that dealt with handling art loans between museums. You could look into a job transporting art. A lot of those art transport companies have packing departments that deal with safely handling artwork and packing it for transport. Look outside of museums. It's pretty niche, but there is a network of businesses to support museums and galleries. I know there are storage warehouses that cater to museums and galleries, too.

IIRC they give you Army-issue glasses. We jokingly call them "BCGs" (Birth Control Glasses, because they make you look like Buddy Holly, and not at all in any kind of cool way). You don't get to wear your own, but they'll get your prescription. This is for training, I should clarify. Once you graduate and you're in your active duty unit, you can wear your own glasses as long as they meet the standards set by the Army.

I got out before Lasik was really a thing, but that sounds dubious. IF, and that's a big "IF", the Army provides it, I guarantee it will be once you've completed all of your training and you're at your duty station. If they offer you anything during the recruitment process, make sure you get it in writing. Recruiters will straight up lie all day long in order to get you to sign the paperwork.

Depending on what you score on the ASVAB will determine what kind of job you get in the military. If you have half a brain you can avoid any sort of combat-oriented MOS. They do give you choices, depending on your ASVAB scores, and they will try to get you into a job that you want. They're well aware that not everyone wants to be infantry, and they definitely know it's better to have a happy soldier than a disgruntled soldier. I've heard that it's better to join earlier in the year, because they have slots to fill in different positions and by the end of the year all of the good jobs are taken. That may just be a rumor, though.
