Its actually done really well in FFXIV, don't know why I didn't bring it up earlier but:

The plight of the Ala Mhigan people. The subjugation of Doma. How Ala Mhigan society was replaced by imperial rule, and they divided the higher class Ala Mhigans from the lower, technically pitching them against each other. And Doma, on the other side of the world, was afraid to fight back because of they would be made an example of. Villagers literally selling each other out.

Characters like Fordola and Yotsuyu turning their backs on their countrymen because of the prejudice they received, one of them because she was a woman in the worst circumstances imaginable (Rape, prostitution) the other was because her highborn family were disciminated against for being treated better than the lower born.

Even though people say Stormblood was rushed, the Warrior of Light couldn't just waltz in there by themselves to sort everything out. They needed to get people from different cultures to come in and sympathize with the masses, bringing them together and throwing aside their prejudices against one another to drive out the invading force.

And it happened again in Endwalker with the Garleans being seen as the "enemy" while a lot of them fearing the outsiders, Eorzeans in this case, entering their country as an invading force and the fear of being treated like shit, just like in the past where they were driven up North by those same nations.

I mean a lot of the class divide and racism could be seen all the way back in A Realm Reborn, with Little Ala Mhigo, Ilberd and Raubahn's legacy.

Edit: Forgot about the Syndicate, the refugees and obvious class divide there, but you get the picture, already explained the basic outline.

Youre from London, TC. I played a couple of shows with this one all-girl band from London called Gertrude, maybe a decade ago or so. Maybe more than that, now that I think about it. I doubt they are still a thing, but they decided to tour Canada for whatever reason, and we had a good time. They were more punk than metal, but I still have the two CDs that they had at the time. Good stuff. Definitely not mainstream.

Where did you guys play? A lot of the underground music I saw back then was mainly in The underworld in Camden (I saw Necronomidol there too more recently).

When someone is gay, it shouldn't be explicit. They should be treated the same as everyone else, naturally. By making it 'explicit' it's kinda defeating the point of equality unless the story was ABOUT their sexuality.

Edit: Also whats this about me being uncomfortable? Did you mean by the persons sexuality or the terrible writing western comics usually have?

Like what? Its funny because I find when they include gay/identity issues in their storylines, it feels a lot more natural than how the west does it. ESPECIALLY when it comes to the western comics.

Thing is, I haven't actually heard of any of these bands which is a shame. In the west, at least here in London, there is barely any rock or metal in the mainstream.

When I was in Tokyo there was a shit ton of different genres on display in stores. Hell, events like Hyper Japan does a good job of showing off their music here in London too.

Im glad you used Brand New Day as the Babymetal example. That was my favourite song off of Metal Galaxy, and its so good live, even if the majority (all?) of the music is taken off of the album.

Slow songs don't really get me in general but THIS WAS AMAZING.

Literally holy shit, the video was shot so good. And it had the old-style feel to it. Every member looked fantastic.

Koike looks fucking fabulous with her blonde hair! Tamura is so sexy laying down like that, along with Morita looking cool as fuck. Sugai in that tight beautiful dress. Risa! Amazing as usual paired with Kobayashi. Ten obviously bringing the whole group together as center. Habu's hair and her one earring, if she needed to look anymore badass. Uemura's hair is so beautiful! Oozono put her hair behind her ears, didn't think it'd look so good like that either!

Its late as fuck here, almost 3:30am. I'm gonna have to watch this another 50 times tomorrow to digest everything since I obviously missed a lot of the members.

But DAMN so good! They all looked like angels! And their dances were lovely!

More Shiraishi Mai. Wonder what the rest of you guys think of her. She's rated as the top Nogizaka46 girl and Japanese Idol. (Graduated now).

a guy on my facebook posted a charizard card for $10k a few months ago, he's since lowered it to $3k.

It's all well and good to have these valuable cards but I don't think it's easy finding people willing to actually pay good money for them

I dont think Facebook is the right place to sell items as high value as those.

Never listened to J-Pop, but I do like a few Japanese bands like Babymetal, Scandal, WagakkiBand, and a few others. I came here for the pics and was not disappointed.

Good taste. They are all top notch. I know a woman who is close friends with Yuko, the singer of Wagakki Band. Never got to meet her myself though yet.

Oh they were actually knight soldiers I bought for DnD.

But I have the soldier ones like yours from when I was younger under my bed somewhere. I would probably use them for more modern scenarios.

BMC Iwo-Jima (some of the tan, flag, rock)
BMC D-Day (some of the green)
BMC Japanese Soldiers (some of the tan)
Timmee Soldiers (some of the green)
Imperial Soldiers (2 or 3 of the green)

The tank is a Timmee knockoff currently sold at WalMart, and the tiger was from a jungle animal pack that walmart no longer sells.

I'm not sure, I just got them off ebay lol.

Probably cheap knock-off ones that I wanted to use as soldier fodder in some war scenarios I was planning. I'll take a picture of them if I can find it.

Thinking of starting a new topic based solely on idols, their profiles, history ect.
