Yeah, it's honestly Ubisoft's doing. Since Steam's just a storefront, they're obligated to listen to a developer's/producer's demands when it comes to game availability.

I wouldn't blame people for pirating Ubisoft games at this point, honestly. Even though it's available as part of AC3 Remastered, I would not tell people to buy another game just to access Liberation again. Especially when Ubisoft set a precedent for doing this.

Game actually looks pretty fun, can't wait to give it a go. But something like that is gonna HAVE to be toned down severely for the PS4/XB1 versions right?

Haven't really recognized any Goo Goo Doll songs, but I like what Lifehouse does. They're definitely my go-to band for relaxation.

I remember loving the game when it came out. But the only part of it that stuck with me over the years was an annoying mini-game towards the end where you have to navigate a "maze" without touching green slime. It was like the flowers shrine from BotW but a million times worse. <_<

Funny thing, I don't quite remember that but it sounds annoying given how slippery the controls are. Been having a hard time aiming in first-person mode because of it, lol.

These levels certainly felt a hell of a lot larger when I was a kid as well, but they're so small now.

I literally haven't played this in about two decades, but had fond memories going back to it. Replaying it now that it's on PS5 and I'm having a great time. I just didn't remember the camera and movement controls being a tad awkward.

Yeah, the green text and being able to skip just that is a godsend for playing through the entire game, lol.

Similar to those I know that around the world there are some "content creator homes" where a bunch of content creators move to and live together so they can just focus on making Youtube and Twitch stuff.

It kinda does that, but it gives you more freedom in choices. Like, the game won't "progress" unless you get a certain amount of endings or make certain choices. If it's any consolation the game was a lot less confusing when actually playing it, as the spoiler-free guide made it look extremely complicated.

Since the game offers a large amount of saves you can always save at a choice in the story, and after getting an ending you can come back later. Barring that, there's a setting where you can skip text you've already read to make things go way quicker.

It's basically a process of elimination on which choices will get you wildly different endings, but if you don't really want to waste any time you can find a spoiler-free guide to get all the notable endings. That's what I ended up doing since I was recording a Let's Play of it.

I will say that there's one choice that essentially "progresses" the game far beyond the initial playthrough depending on what you choose, and that's the one you're supposed to find. After that it's a combination of choices to figure out which girl you want to be with.

Perhaps. There's a reason why a lot of people prefer Banjo-Kazooie over Banjo-Tooie, as an example. Kazooie is a simpler kind of game, more pick-up-and-play while Tooie requires tons of backtracking and connecting to various levels, and while some (like me) loves that kind of thing, others would say it just overcomplicates things.

Maybe XC1 being a bit of a simpler game is what appeals to some people, rather than the sheer amount of options and such that you're given in subsequent games.

Even though the art style is a bit weird, I promise that the show is actually really good. Glad they were able to make a movie to give it a proper send-off since it got cancelled.

Well, previews say the game seems amazing so far.

Still not sure what about this game is turning you off though, it's got a darker story with twists and turns, and with more serious characters which is a stark contrast to XC2, at least at its first half. And the gameplay looks really fun.

Between the quality of the character relationships, the rapidly developing story, and the expanded combat system, Im positively basking in the world of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Just over twenty hours in, Im relishing the thought of the next seventy or so in this beautiful universe.

It kind of already feels like it anyway. Large swaths of time where small, lesser known titles are released while one or two months in the year gets all the big ones.

15 minutes of gameplay. Aside from a small cutscene at the very beginning of it, it's entirely exploration and sidequests in the starting area.

I really don't know what to think of this third game. I've played 1 fairly recently, kept my distance from 2 my sentiment is kind of that I really wish there was more to do in 1 because that's the best time I've had playing a game for the first time in years. Feels like some kind of devil deal potentially getting more but having to swap the cast of characters out for the local flute players guild.

If it's any consolation, as someone who fell in love with the first game I've absolutely enjoyed my time with every Xenoblade so far. XC2 has an issue with a slow first half gameplay-wise (and for some, story-wise) but it more than made up for both of those aspects in the second half.

It is a bit weird having to get acclimated to a new world and new cast when you first play the others but I got quickly used to it.

Two out of many that are coming out, I chose them because they seem to be the most spoiler-free. GameSpot's apparently blatantly spells out an early game plot twist so avoid that one. But highlights for those who want to remain completely unspoiled:

• The story has an incredibly dark setting and, from previews, is incredibly compelling from the start and takes you through a rollercoaster of emotions. Characters are well-written.
• The first hour or so is essentially tutorials set in a wide open area with half the party, to get you used to what the combat and general gameplay will be like.
• Game performance is a clear improvement from XC2, both with docked and portable modes. Framerate remains a consistent 30fps even when battles get hectic (which is frequent), and resolution is much clearer. No longer does portable mode make it look like a mess of pixels!
• The world is seamless between zones. Think of XCX where the entire world is loaded in at once, but is more linear to allow for better story progression like the previous games. Also transitions from story cutscenes to gameplay is seamless. No more fade to black!
• Might potentially be the best Xenoblade ever made, as it marries some of the best aspects from all previous Xenoblade games, even Torna.

I've liked the show but this and the last episode were pretty meh. Things feel like they're moving too quickly in order to cram an overambitious plot into 6 episodes.

Is it funny that I think the earlier Disney+ shows were better? Because it feels like a lot of them had better pacing and knew what to do with their limited run time.

Game looks a bit better than when it was initially revealed, I can see the "art style" they're going for more clearly. It's like a very slight stylization with thin outlines on the characters.

It did not run like shit. Sure it was a little wonky in the overworld with aiming for 30fps, but its tolerable and you don't fight in the overworld. Actual battles are 60fps and are really stable.

Well, the overworld is what I meant. The battle stages ran really smoothly. The overworld targeted 30 fps but rarely hit that target.

Yeah, I dunno why it looked and ran like shit on the Switch. That console has shown it can do large open environments while still looking pretty and running decently.

It feels way too long but also feels like a masterpiece, if that makes sense.

Because the open zones will be what separates the game from the other modern Sonic games. And where you'll be spending most of your gameplay in.

Once a skill is unlocked you have it no matter what. However, having a certain skill tree highlighted boosts an attribute of a character. It tells you which one will do it.
