How is it for lag and stuff?

Disney is headquartered in California.

Granted Disneyworld is definitely a moneymaker for them, but their main income comes from media and merchandise.

I struggle to imagine them letting some conservative flavor of the month bully them into altering that media/merchandise.

I kinda hated it.

Though that might be more due to my tiredness with the "Superman But Evil" trope. It's definitely overdone.

FromSoft fans possess a fun mix of delusional "It's already completely perfect as is" and hostility to any sort of legitimate criticism of the franchise.

Like I loved Elden Ring. I sank 100+ hours into my playthrough, but let's not pretend like the game and From's design choices are beyond criticism.

There were changes/additions that could have improved an already great game. A pause button is one of those things.

Quitting out has always been the "pause button" in Soulsborne. You can do it whenever, including during a boss fight and quickly get back into the game when you're done with your shit anyways. Takes like 5 seconds to do.

Basically every game has one. Not having one is weird and is an unnecessary, punitive move against the player. If I gotta take a dump in the middle of a lengthy boss fight, I don't appreciate having to start from scratch because of that lol.

People forget that "AI" in its current state is not really capable of true creativity. It's just a language prediction model trained on whatever information it's fed.

So whenever it's asked to generate a story it's just the dumbest and most derivative shit imaginable.

That was brand new. They also tried scratching at my couch so I bought a couch cover.

On top of that these things are clawing at my leg and crawling all over me whenever I sit or lie down for more than a few minutes.

So it turns out I don't like cats.

I used to hate it, but my opinion of that arc went up a ton when I saw it as "con man tries to fool the family but no one else buys it and he singles out Edith because she's gullible and lonely".

Which it really seems like the interpretation the episode guides you toward.

Seasons 2 and 3 are pretty good too imo

I even liked the "amnesia" arc in S2

After 3 is where it falls off quite a bit. Still good, but not prime like the first three.

Very disappointing the way they took him. I almost feel like most of his arc was what they were gonna do for Matthew before the actor asked to be written out and they just dumped it all on him instead.

Put the shelfs & bins in the bath tub full of hot water and some dish soap, with a bit of bleach if you want. Makes it cleaning them much easier.

Oh fuck. I got the tub upstairs. I'll do that tomorrow. Good idea. Just let the big shelves and bins soak for a while.

If there are any particularly bad shelves/drawers, those can typically be replaced if you can look up the fridge model no.

I'm confident I can clean the rest of the fridge (the vinegar stuff already worked wonders on the shelves in the door) but for the one shelf I posted above, I might need to reorder

Or just chuck it and make do without lol

I figured this was the case when James Gunn heaped praise on Shazam 2 and called The Flash one of the best comic book movies he's ever seen, and then just was like "oh yea Aquaman 2 is coming out too it's cool"

Moved out of my parents when I was in college, had a string of short term apartments (year or less) across different cities before moving back home in late 2017, catching Lymphoma, moving in with my folks again while I did treatment and got back on my feet.

Then a friend of mine inherited a big ol house. I moved in and got a sizable chunk of it for myself.

As my roommates got married to each other a few months ago, I figured it was time to high tail it out of here. As luck would have it, a place opened up. I've been moving my stuff over over the last few weeks.

My current place is almost empty of stuff now. Just my clothes and some of my furniture are left. Moving day is tomorrow and I'm so... bummed out. Excited to start a new chapter, but of all the placed I've spent since leaving my folks, this is the only other place that's felt like my home. Lived here 4 years now with two very close friends, and spent the entirety of the pandemic locked in this place.

I've often said that I never had the negative feelings a lot of people had with the lockdowns because I got to spend it in this big lovely old house hanging out with two of my closest friends every day.

Been a damn fun ride and I'm sad it's over.

No one needs to justify their purchase.

They bought it, they enjoy it, and they don't need to validate it to anyoen else lol

Saga is a great comic book. Too many people don't look beyond superheroes when they hear about comics though.

Paper Girls is also one of my favourite comics, We Stand On Guard was a fun read, and I've head great things about Y: The Last Man but I've never actually read that one.

Y: The Last Man was spectacular. Some stuff might be a bit dated but I read it for the first time a year ago and adored it.
