Dark Deity is apparently going to be free on Epic Game Store next week for anyone who's interested. I haven't played it but it's one of the more popular of the recent FE-likes. Pretty sure it's made in SRPG Studio though so expect ugliness and probably some performance issues lol

Most shocking thing about this to me is that AA6's cases line up pretty well with the rest of the games. They all felt insanely long-winded to me but I guess it wasn't in terms of actual text.

I actually didn't mind the kitsune lair that much. I mean the story was dogshit even for Conquest but as far as map gimmicks go, enemies that are sometimes invincible isn't the most intrusive thing. Preferred it to both wind chapters for sure.

Conquest has numerous awful, gimmicky maps and - perhaps more importantly - only a handful of actually good ones. People give it credit for having better map design than Awakening but that's a low bar, and frankly I'm not even sure it has the best map design of the three Fates routes.

Please keep in mind that Boebert is 100% going to attempt her own mini-coup if she loses, so we can't celebrate until she's actually gone

This is gonna sound like me being dramatic but trying to play through all three routes of Fates in a row legitimately made me feel ill, at least in the "this food made me sick so now I can't even look at it without wanting to vomit" way.

If by "FE inspired" you mean "exactly FE, but uglier" then it's pretty easy to make one with SRPG Studio!

Since you're done with the Jugdral games now I can say re: your post during FE4 about Arvis killing Azel, supposedly there was originally going to be a third act in FE4 where you would go and rescue the surviving gen 1 characters. Azel would have been one of the ones turned to stone that you could rescue.

You're absolutely correct but I'll add that he doesn't just believe it's for clout, he believes it's essentially a conspiracy to elevate "lies" over "the truth". It's all part of the right-wing chud worldview that he's bought into.
