Ben going after Lopen when prompted yesterday probably bodes well for Lopen being Town, by the way. I don't think Ben tries to setup his own push on a scummate at that point.

I think Ben was a meh choice tbh, I don't think there's any universe in which he wasn't scum after this. It does reinforce my Ctes theory, though! Ben was hard defending Ctes for quite some time. Here's my little excerpt from my massive post (which is now obsolete because about half of it was in defence of JC and expecting Plum to die).

I hate almost everything by Ben in topic 3, and he had very little contribution before that! Post #145 gives me the ick. His interactions with Isquen give me the ick. Post #221 again soft defending Ctes? From basically the moment I replaced in, his few interactions with me gave me the ick. Post #227 of topic 3, where he highlights that the person I think is most Town is Town with Ctes, using Hans opinion as backing after #145? Ick ick ick ick. Not your greatest scum game, Benjamin, and I think this incriminates Ctes as well. I'd encourage everyone to read the start of this topic and note every time Ben mentions Ctes, and the context.

Scum bus driver means they correctly assessed who plum would target and then drove both the target they guessed and chose plum himself.

It would have to be a scum role redirector.

Which if that is the case, it has zero indication regarding JC. The question is why they wouldn't redirect to someone who scans town on purpose. But, scum probably needs you absolutely to know it's a redirector before doing that because if you do it before understanding what role caused it, you don't realize it's Wifom godfather/actual town.
Sultan used this exact thing before - DYL was "power redirector (bus driver)" in nick mafia.

Btw keep in mind that if we get to a point where there the EK on Han is still unrevealed, it most likely could not have come from Abacus or Ctes
It's probably from scum and scum can agree to an action on their board without being around here.

I'm not gonna go too far down the rabbit hole on scum roles or night actions right now and I think we should leave them be unless something new comes up. Our priority needs to be finding scum and scum meta will only get us so far.

Consider this a "do something" warning. You're a very good player and several of the stronger others in this game are dead. Even if it's a bullshit or poorly balanced game, I would very much like the ego trip of catching scum and forcing them to kill me after my replace. I'm sure you can empathise. Help a brother out, here.

Probably Lopen.

Day 1 I never put him on my town list because while he was active he seemed very self aware. I'm not following his logic today. Yes, I barely follow it when he's town too, but I havent gotten the same level of town conspiracy Lopen that I cleared him for last game. He is calling me scum which I dont like. I find it weird he didnt factor in you or Ctes at all when making his grand ol analysis that was supposed to solve the game.

He did admit himself day 1 that he would be playing this game differently, but I really liked a point someone made (I think it was Lea?), that the last time he said he was going to play differently he ended up being scum.
Interesting. Do you feel you've been putting much pressure on Lopen and will I find these arguments when I scroll back? Because although I've not been paying full attention, that's a lot of points against someone I wasn't aware you had a strong read on.

On the other side of things, is there anyone on my prior list you'd want to stop me lynching?

No. Bus driver can effectively roleblock and is more powerful in some circumstances (and based on this evidence and I think on how Sultan made it work last time? can just force someone to target themselves, so can basically perform the duties of a roleblocker).

It's the best explanation for Plum not being blocked.

The bus driver is absolutely scum. Prostitute/(Godfather/Ninja)/Bus Driver/Extra Kill is probably the scum setup. Maybe with the extra kill on the godfather if we're looking at a three man team.

Hmm. Doesn't sound like enough reasons to show that you definitely would have lynched him had you not replaced him, given you say you're up for lynching almost everyone.
Yeah, I absolutely would be up to lynch anyone bar Plum with a semi-convincing argument. L

Also, I didn't realise the Plum scan was such a big disagreement, but I am 99% sure that the right idea is that a bus driver drove Plum to himself. Sultan loves that role and I think we had it in Nick mafia?

Ben, backs to the wall, Lopen, JC, Ctes, Corrik. Who're you lynching? I'm yet to be able to read the game with as much focus as I want, but I'm very uncertain on what you want to do going forward.

Yesss, Sheeeeep!

Tell me why you would have wanted to lynch abacus
Reading back I actually like his attacking Han a little (albeit with bias), but I think it was me getting irritated by the "sorry you're offended" thing that made me not like him, plus the complete absence of activity. Plus everyone I did actually like is now dead so my general thought towards everyone remaining are not great. Except Lea, who is hilarious and very correct about everything (unless she wants to lynch me in which case she's just right about most things). Most of my feelings towards this game were vibes tbh. I trust my reads like that if they're strong, but there's also not a ton of players I tend to gut-read well in this game.

I am going to play this game like there's four scum until we get proof otherwise, and I'd suggest everyone else do the same. There's very high power on Town side and I'm not willing to bank on a balanced game. I'm just here to lynch as many scum as possible then die. I would like as much time as possible to figure this game out because I really haven't been following closely, so please don't end today early. Treat this as Lylo and don't make lazy lynches. Isquen has already flipped scum prostitute and Plum is dead tonight, three scum in what's remaining, is how I'm gonna try and view the game.

Hey all, not gonna be around too much tonight BC of new year's but I should be here a lot tomorrow. Hold me to that.

I'm kinda mad Red died last bc he was the one living player (aside from the obvious Plum) that I was very sure was Town just from, but I guess Han might have been a bit too forward with his non-suspicion of Red. On the other hand, I'm glad I replaced Abacus because I honestly woulda wanted to lynch him.

Also, I was slept with last night. Must have been a nasty surprise for Isquen, thinking he was crawling into bed with the lovely Abacus and then waking up to me.

I didn't move last night, by the way. Scum already knows so no point hiding.

Finally got round to finishing Mob. I wish some of the side characters that the final season focuses on got a bit more screen time, though. A decent portion didn't have quite the same impact as it otherwise could. It's definitely the weakest season, both story and animation-wise, which is a shame. Still one of my favourite shows, and it wrapped up in a nice way, but it definitely grabbed me less than the first half or so of the show (and didn't really have the ridiculous animation that elevated the second season).

Been watching The Traitors over here in the UK (I think there was a Dutch version not long back too?). Death had no right to live beyond D2 here.

Ben also had no right to be Town, I was practically screaming to lynch him over MZero who I thought was very obviously Town despite some dodgy reads. Overall a solid game from Scum though, I think they identified their wincon as soon as MZero claimed and executed it perfectly. Ctes in particular I didn't call as scum, and I think they would have won with a Plum lynch sooner or later even if this day didn't sort it.

I don't think the gap in quality is all that big.

Qatar have been the only truly abject team in the tournament, and even that's been a massive underperformance from where they were a few years ago. We'll definitely get more worse teams on average, don't get me wrong, but I think the 3 team groups will make it more uncompetitive than 4 team groups would. 3 team groups will have very stark differences between the teams, compared to 4 team groups where almost every team faces another that's comparable in quality.

My biggest issue is that New Zealand will practically be guaranteed a spot in every World Cup for the foreseeable future.

Well, my predictions this tournament have mostly been trash, but I managed to call Australia getting out of the group!

Miserable tournament for Wales and I also expect a Poland thrashing tonight, but a tiny, overly optimistic part of me thinks we might sneak a draw against Argentina and not only get out of the group, but get to play Australia rather than France...

So naturally, Saudi Arabia and Argentina are nailed-on winners tonight.

Proud that Wales got here in the first place. Plot armour only takes you so far, and our lack of any midfielders finally caught up to us, but it's a massive achievement having gotten here at all. Hopefully we'll go up against England aiming for a win in the final group game and we might still have a chance of qualifying (albeit slim). Would be gutting to send Bale and Ramsey off without a win. It's a massive shame we didn't make 2018, when Allen, Ramsey and Bale were all fit enough to compete at this level. Glad I got to see us make a World Cup in my lifetime, never thought it'd be something that would happen and although I wish it were better, this is the first time I can really fault any of these players for us. Still time to wear the rainbow armband and cause a stir in the last game too! Should have taken a stand earlier, but there's no reason not to at this stage, when we're already on our way home.

And as I type that Belgium somehow score. Bit against the run of play too. Definitely a chance for Canada to come back and they look much better going forwards than defending, but I really hope they don't get too disheartened by this.
