The puzzles are fine, but the overall design and aesthetics are surprisingly bland and forgettable, especially for a game that otherwise thrives on colorful and distinct visuals (the one standout imo being Tower of the Gods, and even then it doesn't stand out all that much). Plus there's only 5 dungeons to choose from, and in WW's case lack of quantity does not inherently mean high quality to compensate. And like you said, the bosses were pretty lousy - good design visually, but not particularly fun nor memorable to fight. WW was honestly the first Zelda game (one that I otherwise loved to death) in which I dreaded having to do the dungeons, because they felt like an absolute slog.

Well it all started with the TC losing his mind, and then there was a video that nobody watched, and then there was some thinly-veiled transphobia, and then the topic almost died, and then a donny wandered in to shamelessly validate TC, and then there was some more transphobia, and then someone made a rather apt analogy between TC's rhetoric and slavery, and then TC lost his mind even harder, and then he got suspended, and then someone talked about what had happened in the topic so far and a great hammer came and hit him on the head...wait, I don't remember that part *THWACK*

That would be the ideal scenario, actually. Humanity in its current state can't even handle slightly different skin tones without massacring each other by the millions; our prospects of peaceful, long -term communication / cohabitation with literal alien life is next to nil.

I was thinking about that the other day, I too loved it as a kid.

I don't think they meant the wizards shitting their pant, just that they take a shit wherever they like (assuming nobody watched) and simply vanish the evidence.

Technically they didn't wear pants - iirc it was tradition for wizards to wear nothing under their robes. Pretty sure one traditionalist old fart at the Quidditch World Cup was complaining about having to wear pants because he loved the feel of the wind blowing between his [censored for comedic effect].

So in this case 'shitting their pants' and 'shitting wherever they wanted' are functionally identical.

Lupin maybe? I think the problem is that there's no popular anime characters that are based off Batman while Goku is like a weird fusion between Sun Wukong and Superman but he's at least still based on Superman partially.

Spike sprang to mind because he was the most popular non-superpowered / magical anime character I could think of.

I posted it because I thought it would be interesting to see a dialogue about the subject. All Im getting though is a lack of dialogue due to it not being 100% blind support of certain topics considered problematic in the trans community.

Pretty much, which is why I was not sad to see 'traditional' dungeons gone in BotW (which I've always found a strange sentiment, since the Divine Beasts are close enough to 'traditional,' and having four of them is only one less than TWW's five).

I'm noticing that this seems to be a reoccuring theme. Pokemon Bank launching along with gen 6 and providing a convenient way for a player to have all of their Pokemon in a single place probably gave a lot of players more motivation to finally complete the Pokedex, myself included.

I can only speak from personal experience, but gen 6 / the 3DS also happened to coincide with wifi connections becoming much more user-friendly. I remember constantly struggling even just a few years prior to find a wifi connection that was pure enough for my picky-ass DS to accept (I distinctly remember never once being able to find a suitable connection to download the Lati@s event for HGSS, and I was incredibly miffed about that).

Minus event legendaries (because fuck that fucking bullshit in general), I completed the National Dex in gens 3, 4, 5, and 6. Gen 6 was the first time I even used online enough to trade for event legendaries, but I still think I came up a few short.

Brinstar upper area. In the first vertical hub room after you get off the elevator from Crateria, you can power bomb the bottom floor and then go through the door on the lower-left. In the next room the game tempts you at the far end with a too-easy Energy Tank, but there's an invisible pit just before it. After falling down and making your way through a spike-filled room you get to the shaft where the three little aliens teach you how to wall-jump.

Isn't there an area in Super Metroid where you can fall down a hole with no way out unless you wall jump? The game kind of brute forces you to learn how. IIRC there is a little alien that jumps and shows you what you are supposed to do.

Yes, but you only have to do something like 2-3 wall jump reps to make it out of the trap, which is tough but feasible for even someone like me who sucks at wall-jumping in Super. If you're really good at it you can get an ammo upgrade (can't remember which) at the top of the shaft, otherwise you just come back later with the Space Jump.

I'm so bad at wall-jumping in Super that I simply have never developed any interest in using it to sequence break. Bomb jumping too.

I guess I'm fortunate that having the player's guide + enough repetition as a kid has permanently imprinted the ability to remember how to get 100% items (usually under the 3hr mark as well).
