So Blue Beetle started with Dan Garret in the 40s, who was just some dude with a magic scarab that made him bullet proof.

The character was recreated in the 60s with Ted Kord, normal human tech guy, sort of a cross between Batman's gimmick and Spider-Man's tone.

Jaime Reyes was introduced in 06 after Infinite Crisis to replace Kord, who died.

Yeah I fucked up, now I gotta spoiler the title for anyone who read the vague posts and don't want knowing the name of the game to let them connect any of the pieces lol

Really odd detail that raised a huge red flag over a previously unassuming character.

Thing that bugs me is that...it's a little too obvious of a mistake. If this really is intended to mark the killer, It doesn't make much sense for it not to rouse the main character's suspicion. But even if it's just a red herring, it doesn't make sense for this character to have done the thing they did.

Am I, the player, supposed to assume this character is the killer and now be watching them get closer to the MC, now viewing them as a predator getting closer to their end game? Or did the writer try to be clever and accidentally reveal their hand too early with a very clumsy twist?

Never bothered 100%ing BT because the worlds were so big and some of the later levels just weren't fun enough to be worth the satisfaction. Might get around to trying again some day, though I'll definitely use a guide.

Though...I guess it depends on your definition of 100%. As a kid I never bothered collecting all the honeycombs because getting all the Jigsaw pieces makes them redundant, but these days I get them just to say I have them.

Have never gone out of my way to get all the mumbo tokens. They are a non-respawning, limited item so some strict interpretations of "100%" might include them. But the game doesn't have a "x / x" tally for them like the other major collectibles so...if the game doesn't count them then neither do I lol

Blue-Eyes can be fun to play, they're just not competetively viable lol. But depending on who you play with, they may have other casual decks to play at that level

The Pocket had one? Its been ages, granted, but I had a yellow and I don't remember that.

I just remember my yellow pocket had eventually had some corrosion because I never took the batteries out and had the bad habit of overcharging them lmao

It didn't come with an adapter, but I'm fairly certain you could use one.

Idk about the brick, but the Pocket and Color both had a port for AC adapters iirc. At least, I remember having recharchable batteries and using an AC for them lol.

Yeah they renamed it because they started adding new monster types and it didn't make sense to call it a "fusion deck" anymore lol. They also added a 15-card limit to it once they started printing monsters that people actually wanted to play outside of Metamorphasis/CyberStein degeneracy. >_>

also, decks now have a strick 60-card maximum these days. But that's because some trolls took a 2000-card deck to a tournament one time lmao

Poker Knights seem to be consistent these days, at least. Their new boss monster is just a harder-to-summon Zeus with a worse effect, and Arkana Knight Joker is...fine? But still a little too resource-intensive for how restrictive its effect is. I think the best thing Pokers can do is turbo out Slifer, which does seem pretty cool now that it has that insane trap card.

They initially got popular during the game's first "Xyz Festival" because you'd get more rewards for losing fast than winning normally (and since it was so early in the game's lifespan, a lot of players didn't have access to playable Xyz decks since they'd invested their started gems into something else). Konami fixed the reward system and they fell out of favor for a while. They've gotten popular again for god knows what reason. I mean they are technically good for de-ranking and farming some dailies, but people were doing that just fine for months before the deck started to see a resurgence lol, especially since the dailies were nerfed into oblivion.

How do I know what card is from where? When I look online there are different types of versions for each card. Like one card is from a different bundle whilst another is from an earlier one. Nothing on the card indicates this and all their codes are the same.

Yugipedia is the best resource for this kind of info, imo. Of course, there's also Konami's official database.

How do I go about making my own deck? I was thinking of seperating trap cards, monster cards, spell cards ect, but realized a lot of these cards have effects that go together now. And I don't even know where to begin in finding out where each goes in terms of usefulness

Yugioh mostly seperates its decks into name-based archetypes. (ie Swordsoul, Spright, Traptrix, etc). So a simple way is to find an archetype that seems to have a playstyle that interests you, and try to build around those cards. There are plenty of decklists online if you need help getting started.

There are also some decks based on monster type, (like Dragons, or Zombies), where the idea is to just mash a bunch of the best generic type support together.

The Extra Deck is just the new name for the Fusion Deck. "new star system"...sort of? Xyz monsters have "rank" instead of a "level", and Link monsters have a "link rating". Most monsters still have the regular star levels.
