Finally beat level two. I could have done it faster if I didn't insist on doing the vertical platform acid challenge and beating the flying insect boss without using an idol.

I had a dream where I was supposed to be valiantly rescuing my friend but I was a little kid with a wooden sword and a big fat woman kidnapped him.

I run into a plywood castle, challenge her and demand my friend back. The enormous woman seems to disregard me as a threat. In response she begins a swaying motion back and forth, the rhythmic bob almost hypnotizing. She lifts up her sweaty fat arm and points to her armpit and to the rhythm of the sway declares "pits pits pits pits".

This continues back and forth where I slash at her with my sword and she replies by just pointing back to her armpits and continuing to sway as she chants pits.

After the final time her large granny dress is kind of torn. But this time her response is to turn around point to her exposed buttocks, spread her cheeks and continue to chant "pits". Her bunghole disgusts me so badly I think I woke up from the dream.

Not what I was implying but what other people were.

And yeah things are always black and white like people seem to want you to believe.

I love how quickly the settings change in this game. The backgrounds are never boring.

We arrive in the ecodome, akin to this games jungle level, and you hear bird calls and it's a very alien environment. I love the weird ferocious things with sythes for hands.

I was having difficulty with the hell Cobra at first but he gets turned into putty real fast with the hell hammer (shotgun).

It's the vertical run from acid portion that keeps killing me afterwards.

And I was cocky I was going to flow through this game getting as many idols as possible. I really want to upgrade my guns. I know it's only possible to upgrade all your weapons in New game+

All these roguelikes and no one even mentioned Spelunky. It along with Issac practically invented the action rogue like genre, although Spelunky feels more fair and less RNG than most. Unfortunately the second Spelunky never captured the magic of the first, so the series faded to irrelevance

I'd say the thing to keep in mind is that crazy people exist in all walks of life. So the problem is not so much "crazy comic book fans" or "crazy video game fans" or "crazy movie fans" - it's fans of anything... who also happen to be crazy.

The real problem is that everyone today uses implied groupthink as an ad hominem. If 100 people complain about a character in a film because they're poorly written, but 1 of those people also make sexist or racist comments about the actor that plays them, people immediately dismiss the opinions of the other 99 people as being solely motivated by bigotry because of "guilt by association". A few comic fans act like assholes, and then people whine about how all comic fans are assholes and how "toxic" the fandom is. Which is itself kind of bullshit.

People are always quick to fling those accusations (and studios encourage it because it allows them to deflect all criticism when they shit out terrible movies), but that in itself is also shitty asshole behavior.

Honestly, that sort of "All X think Y" mindset is a huge negative of Internet social culture in general. The Internet hugely empowers tribalism in general, and it leads to an infinite sea of shit takes.

• Use idols to create checkpoints
• Getting Idols increases health maximum, losing them does the opposite
• Obtaining idols over your limit is a waste other then for healing
• A set number of Idols can be exchanged for Blood Medals at the end of the level.
• Blood Medals are used to upgrade weapons
• Blood medals can be found in nooks and crannies, dont miss any!

My playthrough of level 1:
Beat the first level again for the first time in a while. Man I forgot how amazing this game was and how intense just the full level is, multiple bosses? Damn lol. My hubris got the better of me thinking I could beat the whole thing without setting any checkpoints. Then it turns out you can out exchange 2 idols for b. medals at the end of the 1st level. Pretty sure it increases by 1 each time. Anyways, the second machine dog killed me multiple times. Its so satisfying to deflect its missiles back at him though. The basic pistol is pretty good upgraded but decided to go with the bastard sword in hopes that the higher raw damage weapon will get better with range upgrades.

Surprised anyone can like Slay the Spire and not love Monster Train. The flip between battle and deck modification cycles is great. Paired with the TD element and the ability to powerup individual cards was great. Also One Step from Eden was an amazing MMBN rougelike. I played at least 120 hours of that which is high for me. Undermine was great too, love the Isaac influences.

Glad you enjoy Hades, Loop Hero, Slay the Spire and Cult of the Lamb (I havent go to play that one yet though). Scourgebringer was too hard for me lol.

Sub actually made quite a few trips with other customers which have testified to it. But thats part of sub safety, its supposed to be rated for a certain number of trips or "cycles" and then its supposed to be retired.

Brick Immortar covers naval tragedies/catastrophes like ships, boats and even oil rigs going down.

You guys think Ocean Gate was bad? The Korean government was beyond negligent and let 300 high schoolers drown in a ship because they didn't want to look bad or something. Look up the Sewol. It's terrible how many times they could have been saved but weren't.

Second channel I found is called scary and interesting which mostly covers caves spelunking and cave diving which is I learned is terrifying.

Honestly, the "best" thing about this disaster, is that everyone on board probably had no idea what happened before they died.

Apparently there was an acoustics tool that was meant to detect the carbon fiber hull breaking down but experts say it's stupid because by the time they heard the alarm it would be too late. So they very well may have heard the alarm go off before they died. That would also explain how there was some weights/ballasts at the bottom of the ocean that were in good condition, suggesting they tried to return to the surface before the implosion happened.

Yeah Ion Fury is on PS5 but if you want something new more arcade style top down shooter, then Synthetik Ultimate is one of the best shooters I have ever played. It's one of the few games I've put in over 120 hours.

I played it on my ROG Ally, a PC portable gaming console. I used RPCS3 emulator, and was able to run the entire game with no issues.

Oh never new about this! Word was PS3 was never going to be emulated because of its archtecture.

There are rumors of MGS4 being ported later. However, I wouldn't count on it being a good port since the MGS1-3 PC ports coming out later this year seem like they are going to be bad ports.

Cultic was absolutely incredible, I'd actually followed the creator from super early on, very nice to see it pay off so amazingly well

Sadly did not like Ion Fury. I've found Build Engine tends to come with a lot of gameplay quirks I don't like, but can't really hate on it. So far Blood is the only BE game I really love

I am glad someone else has played Cultic and loved it! Tbh Ion Fury did not click with me at first, and I came back and loved it. I think the slowing down for taking shots helped after playing through Cultic and realizing how much faster Ion Fury played. -___- Also I didnt realize that the bowling bomb homes in like crazy the longer you charge it up.
