The camera work is too good for this to not be staged. Look at how it subtly zooms in before the car even arrives in shot.

The footage was edited to zoom in and out. You can tell from the text at the top right moving off-screen.

Youd think so, but opening their games on Steam will launch the Ubisoft launcher, so I was paranoid enough I went and logged into my Ubisoft and EA accounts when I heard about this.

Granted, I havent played an Ubisoft game since Far Cry: Blood Dragon, or am EA game since Dragon Age: Origins, but Ive bought some during Steam sales and might play some of them eventually.

Haven't really gotten an answer otherwise but I think this only works if you buy games directly from their store. I don't, and they shouldn't have the right to delete games bought from other store fronts like Playstation Store or Steam.

It's not unprecedented for older actors to play young characters. Or are we just gonna forget about the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies where everybody's supposed to be in high school but they're played by 30-somethings, lol.

Though I wouldn't doubt it if they used CGI at parts.

It is a good thing. It's just showing that bigger film studios refusing the terms, when they have much larger income streams, are doing so because of greed.

A24, a small film studio, has agreed to SAG-AFTRA's terms and is now allowed to use the union's workers to continue making films. What's stopping Disney and other big corporations then? Greed, of course.

Regarding the Peter's face thing...at least it fits a little better here than on the first game. That one was jarring because they already had established facial mocap on the original model. And also next-gen power polishing up the new face.

I can't wait though, this looks like it'll be great.

Edit: I actually didn't expect them to nearly overhaul MJ. She looks good.

The more farther removed this series gets from Xenogears, the less interested I am. Last I checked, they are just some weird single player MMORPG with mechs now.

You definitely skipped a couple games then, since X is the most MMORPG-like and is the only one that has playable mechs.

Xenoblade 3 and its DLC borrows so much from Xenogears it's actually kinda hilarious.

It's so funny that this movie concept seems so awful that people are thinking this is the first movie made during the strike. (Filming was done two years ago.)

I hope they keep a few iconic lines from the localization, and stick to the original language for others. I kinda like how Crystaller (Culex) has lines referencing 2D and 3D. Would help sell the joke if they don't bother to update his sprite.

Yeah there's a couple of sidequests that add party members until you're ready to leave for the final mission, so I guess it's better to do them first. Do Joshua's first and Jill's makes itself available right after.

I feel like I have to watch the movie, because everything I see of the movie is ridiculous.

Flan Prince was definitely my first hunt that really wrecked my shit in. Even when I was at the same level, he still did tons of damage, so it was a matter of really studying his moves.

It's a little bit over half, but yeah you're not close to done yet.

It's funny, because they're admitting it was their doing. But I do not believe them when they say they didn't do it with malicious intent. Why else would they butcher trees like that without getting a permit from the city and invoke the Tree Law?

Though really he's probably just saying whatever the player chooses to believe is canon. So if you wish for the dog ending to be real, it certainly can be.

The gameplay is fucking great. The campaign isn't. The real value in DMC4SE comes from the Bloody Palace mode.

While I wouldn't say hilarious, them being able to interact with the curse physically took away some of the tension and kind of ruined it for me.

A little bit, yeah. That interaction where they first revealed it could interact with other people I was like "...oh. Huh. That makes being able to beat it much more doable now." I was also thinking that whatever the thing was, of course it would be smart enough to know what they were setting up.

That's basically the long and short of it. The top percentage of writers/actors in the industry that make millions is abysmally small, the rest nearly struggle to get by. Residuals are abysmal especially for streaming (I've seen many say that the residuals they get are pocket change), and execs want to use AI as cost-cutting measures so they won't have to pay actors to use their likenesses. Their proposal was literally "if you agree, we get to scan your likeness to forever use you in our movies at a one-time payment of...say, a few hundred dollars."

Not sure if it's because I've been watching a horror movie every night for half a week or what, but I had to stop in the middle of watching Smile. Something about that movie was getting to me and I'd rather want to be able to sleep tonight.
