Also I guess it's a giant allegory for STDs? But the idea that someone or something is watching you and following you at all times is very unnerving, gotta love how the way the movie is shot that it makes even the viewer paranoid. Interesting soundtrack too with the synth.

Not gonna lie I would totally dig a fantasy map like this. The islands in the center are supposed to be the "current known world." Which does bring into question how they know everything else on the map, but that's besides the point.

Slavery has never in any point in recorded human history been entirely eradicated.

And many times it simply adapts to something that is essentially the next rung up. Still a slave but not literally legalltly owned. But in practice its really not very different.

I know it's Bloober Team and it's probably a bad idea to give them the benefit of the doubt, but on that claim that they're removing the psychological horror from SH2...it's actually them saying that SH2 is the beginning of them making more action-horror oriented games, and the OG SH2 does have more action than Bloober Team's previous games, technically.

Grew up playing LEGO Island and LEGO Racers, and later on played and loved the LEGO Star Wars games. Yeah, I like 'em.

The AI thing is something new that people are latching on to. Once it becomes regulated, people will keep their existing jobs and AI will help make it easier.

Watch it be a full-priced re-release instead of a next-gen upgrade that you pay like $10 for.

The tutorial's honestly the only bad part of the game, IMO. It ends when you get out of the beginning village.

It's still not great to try to convince people who actually watched it that it's "meme shit" when you haven't. Just saying.

Yeah, there's too many people who don't know how to level design and just make stupidly hard or painfully easy levels.

I still like it, but I feel like it didn't hold up after my initial watch for some reason. And I wasn't one of those people with insanely high multiverse expectations.

Spoiler alert, they're gonna rule in favor. Because it's Texas.

In Xenoblade 2, there's a hidden range mechanic where certain weapons are best used at certain ranges, and if you're at the right range it boosts the damage you deal. It's unintuitive though because many of your attacks make you move in certain directions which can get you out of the sweet spot.

Edit: There's also a hidden camera-lock feature when in battles if you click in the right stick. It resets if you tilt the stick at all though, but it makes for some unique strafing animations.

It's a pretty decent movie, watched it recently for the first time. If you're not averse to digitally renting movies you could do so on Youtube, which is what I did.

Too bad you didn't have a universal remote to slow it down.

As much as I may dislike it, if you're looking to cut down on time spent you may have to cut Xenoblade, at least for now. Those games are LONG.

Granted, if you're just doing main quest stuff it likely won't take longer than 40-ish hours for each, but the way the games work you're purposely making the game harder if you skip side content.

There's a lot more story than I thought there would be, it's actually pretty good. It's more of a mystery thriller with a horror element than an outright horror movie.

And then the twist at the end was great, I thought the movie was wrapping up at that point before it threw that in.

You know, I did find that scene to be odd. I guess he was protective of Jill because they grew up together and Clive usually took Eikon powers against his will or others, so he thought Clive forced Jill to give up her powers. The fact it ended as quickly as it begun was the really odd part to me.

They usually pull strings to be able to distribute digital games in physical form.

From my experience though, they take months to actually send out their products. I did it once for Scott Pilgrim and never again.

That Clod reaction video was actually faked, the makers of the movie officially posted that as advertising for the movie.

I was thinking about this and it came to my mind that people seem to have different opinions on what makes gameplay deep. Is it deep if there's lots of tools to work with but none of them are needed, or is it deep if the tools that you're given all have their required use? Is it dependant on genre?

I find this hard to grasp unless the study is just referring to retro games being made available on official modern distribution platforms. As far as emulation's standards go, most game consoles' libraries have been 100% dumped and now we're getting into the phase of people dumping prototypes and alphas/betas.

It's basically talking about availability outside of emulation.

I feel like Annabella killed herself out of disbelief. Her entire life was in shambles at the moment: the son she loved that she thought was dead is now alive, the son she hated ended up having the power of a Dominant, her new son was recently slain. And though it wasn't really shown, I kinda have a feeling Ultima made her see something dark and sinister when she saw Joshua that one final time.

Well done short even though the initial concept is silly.

Had a dream that I was in a grocery store and stopped next to a decrepit old man in an aisle. He started talking about the inevitability of death, and after pretending to care about what he was saying I turned and walked away when I heard the sound of wet meat flopping onto the floor, constantly. I ended up scared out of my mind and darted to outside the store that, when I looked back, I could see the old man where he was except with no skin.

I guess it depends on how they follow up after 3. But considering the whole of XC3 happened in literally a blink of an eye, one could conceivably just ignore it right now.

It's less like everyone's in stasis, waiting to be returned and it's more like everyone's long dead but their digi-clones will spawn into the distant future so Shulk and Melia can act like they've saved everyone. More eerie than anything.

Come to think of it, that's probably intentional since they directly addressed that kind of thought process in Xenoblade X. Questioning whether or not you're the same person despite a clone with the same DNA structure and memories being created after the original body is gone.

They wanted to wrap up the "Klaus saga" and have new stories in the Xenoblade series.
