TopicWhich superhero has the best villains in movies?
masterpug53

Probably Batman, predictably. The villain roles I would categorize as 'good' are:
Heath Ledger's Joker
Jack Nicolson's Joker
Cillian Murphy's Scarecrow
Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman
Danny DeVito's Penguin (I didn't really like him compared to TAS's Penguin, but I thought he was still good / iconic in the role).

really wish Arthmoor was still releasing mods we need an unofficial starfield patch

I wasn't aware that he wasn't uploading new mods, but Arthmoor's the kind of prick who, if he had the ability, would forcibly reach inside your PC and hand-pick your mods for what he deems to be the 'proper' Bethesda experience. So if that's the case then I personally would look forward to someone else taking up the Unofficial Patch mantle.

Waking up from a nap in Oblivion to find Lucien LaChance standing over me. Somehow on my first playthrough I had completely missed the rumor about how the Dark Brotherhood recruits new members, and I just randomly decided to murder someone to see if I could get away with it, not expecting anything to come of it afterwards.

It was quite possibly the most immersed I've ever been in a video game. I remember furiously taking hand-written notes on every little detail he was telling me because I did NOT want to cross this guy or screw up the task he was giving me.

I'll second the Bourne movies. 1st was a surprise hit that hugely influenced the direction of the Bond franchise. 2nd was one of the worst shaky-cam experiences I've ever had in a movie and started off on the wrong foot with the 'kill off the love interest in the sequel' trope. I didn't even bother with the 3rd movie and beyond after that point; the fact that I'm only the second person to mention Bourne is pretty indicative of the franchise becoming overall forgettable due to lackluster sequels.

Glad we finally got a good ending to a D+ MCU series. I was a bit skeptical during the climax ("oh, so what, Loki's just going to use his powers in some nonspecific way to make everything better?") but the Yggdrasil imagery at the end really made it click for me and tied everything together (pun intended).

What was wrong with it?

In a nutshell, you know how a normal players guide would say 'use the Ancient Key to open this door and obtain the Sword of Eternal Power?' The FF9 guide would say 'there's something really cool behind this door! To learn what it is, go to playonline.com/swordofeternalpower.'

It was just an elaborate gimmick to get you to go to an online FAQ. The physical guide itself was a complete lemon.

I'm not wrong

As a big fan of the Watchmen GN, the movie felt, at best, resoundingly redundant (outside of the opening credits). Every time I think about giving the movie a second viewing, I realize that my time would be better spent just rereading the GN. Similar thing happened with Scott Pilgrim.

I'll give the live-action Avatar a shot, but if it's going to be largely a beat-for-beat remake, then it too will most likely feel redundant, since the animated series already exists and it's pretty much perfect.

Thing is, fans of the original are rarely if ever the main target audience here; live-action remakes are trying to cast a broader next with a more general audience, who in this case vaguely recognize the brand but wouldn't take an animated kids show seriously enough to watch the original.

So no 96 track option for versus, but that's okay. I probably wouldn't have ever finished it anyway, haha, just would have been nice to try.

Yeah, this was a bit disappointing. I was holding out a sliver of hope that they might bring back an all-track Grand Prix mode that always started on Mario Stadium, ended on MK8 Rainbow Road, and everything in between was random; it's ultimately a meaningless distinction in actuality, but I miss having an award ceremony for reaching the end of it.

Very strong wave. I'm gonna go there - BC3 is better than Wii Rainbow Road IMO.

It's pretty darn close. BC3 is about the maximum they could push an OG MK track design-wise without completely gutting it and bringing it back in name only. On the other hand, Rainbow Road Wii was never my favorite; I'm a Double Dash fanboy and was pushing for that version instead, due to it's ball-busting difficulty and (imo) the best RR soundtrack in the franchise. RR Wii is also a lot easier now on 200cc, because you can easily just jump over the holes in the middle of that figure-8 section of the track instead of having to go around.

But yeah, Wave 6 is probably the best wave overall - the Tour tracks are all top-notch, DK Mountain is an all-time GOAT track, and there's no GBA tracks dragging it down.
