Kathleen Kennedy is to weird internet nerds what Anthony Fauci is to antivaxxers - a dedicated professional with decades of largely-unsung work under their belts, who all of the sudden ended up with targets on their backs because the worst corners of the internet needed a lightning rod for their grievances.

Too bad they ruined that and basically made the Mindflayer just be some dude's profile pic and not an actual real creature.

True, sadly. But I'm holding out on a sliver of hope that the Mind Flayer could still end up being the ultimate big-bad. Vecna's already gotten his ass whupped once by our heroes (even if he ultimately accomplished his goal), and he's going to need a power boost in the final season; so it could turn into one of those 'villain doesn't realize the power he's unleashed' scenarios where he binds more closely with the Mind Flayer and the Flayer has enough sentience of its own to take over.

Speaking as someone who doesn't know their ass from a hole in the ground in terms of finance, that $700b figure seemed too big to be believed, so I looked into it. TIL that Tesla's market cap jumped from a measly $75b to over a frickin' trillion in two years and then fell back to just under $400b two years after that.

I realize that attempting to cite Stranger Things as being genuinely frightening would get me laughed out of town, but in terms of design it's pretty hard to top a giant nightmare spider-squid-tornado in my book. Especially when it rears up in the distance and turns towards Will for the first time.

The genie in Aladdin does this frequently, the writers later admitted they didn't realize it wouldn't make sense in the setting

That's one of the best things about Aladdin though, even discounting the fact that anachronisms are far less frowned upon or even encouraged in zany comedies. What makes it even better is that Aladdin actually plays along with Genie's madness in a couple gags, even though Al would have no way of knowing who Pinocchio was or how a pull-chain lamp works; a more standard story would have Al just stare blankly at the Genie during those moments.

Considering they basically invented muti-tracking I would say that alone affects what is done...actually overdone nowadays.

Not to mention the popularization of the idea of an LP over a single.
Effectively invented the idea of and album cover that wasn't a stock photo of a band.
Pretty much the only band that stopped touring half way through when the band was still together.
They popularized the idea of a concept album...I know Petsounds did come out first.

Really, the affected music, and the music industry as a whole.

Also had a huge influence on what would later become music videos.

And this is just a personal observation, but I think the Help! and Yellow Submarine movies were progenitors for Monty Python's style of silly deconstructionist humor.

Yeah, I used cheat codes way more often than not in that game. And I typically skipped level 3 entirely (I think there was a way to warp to the end of the stage?) due to the nightmarish platforming towards the end. Turok's blood-curdling scream whenever he plummeted to his death certainly didn't help.

Tim Scott doesn't understand if he wins, big if, the GOP primary he needs black voters to beat Biden. Denying the past and current racism does him no good. Stop and frisk is something he would support.

The one thing that genuinely worries me in general is that Democrats still have a bad habit of taking PoC votes for granted. For example, the DeSantis camp made some big headway in his reelection with community outreach and events in Florida Latino communities. Granted, his campaign had a shitload of money to throw around on such events while the Crist campaign was flat broke, and just like in the OP the actual messaging / politicking probably rang hollow when faced with even the bare minimum of skepticism; but also like the OP addressed, the simple fact that the GOP is giving a shit to attempt to make these inroads will resonate with people.
