I thought it was pretty good. It's a shame Miller did what they did, because the performance was really pretty stellar and at time made me forget I was watching one actor play the same characters but differently.

Motaro could be cool, but he's always been held back because of technical limitations. I do prefer him slightly to Kintaro, who is just super boring to me and I've always found very, very overrated.

He's been given his own moveset now to make him more distinct nowadays, so it feels a lot less necessary now, but in MK11 he can turn into any of the Klassic ninjas to use one of their moves, which was pretty cool.

He's also able to use the ability to steal his current opponents moveset for a limited time as well. I was so hyped for him in MK11: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HV0H1bIa_kY

Probably like the most excited I had been for anything MK in a long time. Obviously he is my favorite character, and I always favored his Deadly Alliance look because it was sleek and regal looking while still coming across as a sinister sorcerer. I never thought they'd get Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa to perform the role in the game though, which was just master class. Fun fact: When I worked for a MK website back in the late 2000s I had his phone number and spoke to him at length on several different occasions while he was filming various different projects. He even shared his own ideas for how he'd continue the story of Shang Tsung that he had in his own mind. To see his likeness and hear his voice in MK11 was just superb stuff, and I feel like MK11 also really re-invigorated the character's importance and how threatening he is. He'll always be Mortal Kombat true main and best antagonist, in my opinion. I hope he'll be interesting once again in the new game.

Yeah, unfortunately so. This is her support for the Don't Say Gay bill.

No. Those people are called Trump supporters. You aren't alone, don't worry.

I'm just surprised such people exist. Most of my liberal friends don't abandon their ideals just because he lost. It's not what he'd want either, I'm pretty sure. Tulsi is just a republican that's too scared to say it; once you start using the word "woke" as a attack you're done.

Especially Trump voters who if you bother to actually listen to (really hard for Hillary supporters, I know) will say this is exactly why they voted Trump

Despite your condescending comments, I unfortunately spend the majority of my life amongst Trump supporters, that are still Trump supporters to this very day. I was born in the deep south, and I still live here now. The majority, the large majority at that, of people I interact with are conservatives. I've never been one to let political affiliation dictate my friendships, and I'm usually fine with just steering clear of the subject but obviously it will come up especially in the age we live in. My parents all voted for Trump, and they're divorced so their spouses voted for him too. I'd say about 75% (and that's being kind because it's probably more) of my coworkers are conservatives. So much to your chagrin, I do have to listen to the reasons they would vote for him. Yes, I have heard "to shake things up in Washington" quite a bit, especially back during the election we're speaking about flipping in 2016.

With all that said, every single person I know that voted for Trump most certainly would not have voted for Bernie. Any time I mention Bernie Sanders, whom would be my choice any time he was running, I get the "Socialist Jew" comments from a lot of them. The thing is, of the many dozens of people I'm thinking about, every single one of them is not just a Trump voter, they're conservative. So when you're theorycrafting of how people who are Trump voters might swing to Bernie, it's hard for me to buy because I know like 50 people who certainly wouldn't. Obviously there are some people out there that might fit your scenario, but I don't think they represent the average Trump voter in the slightest way possible. While shaking up Washington and "not a politician" might be things they'll mention, it's far, far from all they mention. It's a hard take for me to buy when I come into contact with so many people who prove otherwise.

Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump couldn't be more different is my problem with all these notions. The only thread they'd have in common is "political outsider", but they are on totally opposite sides of that line. I don't feel enough people would have been swayed to vote for him for it to matter, if there was even a somewhat significant amount at all. To flip that election and have him as President would have only worked if it would have perhaps galvanized people who simply abstained from voting at all because they didn't care for Hillary and perhaps felt she was too far in the center and didn't care to make their voices heard at all. I would like to believe that not enough of those people existed though, because even if you felt that way about Hillary, it shouldn't come at the cost of stopping Trump. But maybe people didn't think he was that bad in 2016, I don't really know how anyone could have predicted the atrocious things that happened but I felt even back then it was pretty clear to see anyone but him was the answer.

I had thoughts on Jarek as a character during the time of DA/Deception, before Armageddon's silliness of course. But that's like all fan drawn up stuff and would have just completely reinvented his character because yes, he's pretty darn bad. Like I think in MK4, like a lot of those new characters, he was just bland. I can't explain what the heck they were thinking about in Armageddon, I guess it's just proof positive they thought of him as a joke and that we'll probably never hear from him again outside of references.

I'm just trying to picture someone a person who voted for Trump over Hillary going to vote for Bernie instead; it's a bit hard to believe that someone would swap votes and vote for someone way further to the left than the person they already apparently thought wasn't close enough to the center. Unless you really just believe Hillary loses because she's a woman, which I guess maybe someone like that exists? I again attribute it to people not knowing how bad Trump would actually be and not taking him seriously. I think if people who abstained from voting in 2016 had the foresight to know what would happen, they'd have voted for her.

The time for the political center is over, at least in terms of what that might have once meant. The Democratic Party is basically the center now. I much prefer further left than what the establishment offers, but I still feel like it's the only way to win elections in this country.

The problem with Bernie is that he's a virtual no sell to people who want to identify as undecided. His political stances and policies are too far left to make a pitch for, so outside of going back and having Biden run in 2016, Hillary has to be the only real option to defeat Trump. I feel like they didn't believe Trump could really win, and maybe if they had the power of foresight they'd have taken it more seriously and worked harder to win that election.

I mean this happened either way, at least one way Mr. itsgoingtobe Fantastic doesn't become president.

But really though, I don't feel Trump losing would have made it worse when it comes to those people. They're going to be what they are, but Trump's win gave them a voice and made them feel powerful so now instead of just shutting up and keeping their awful opinions to themselves more often, they yell about how "woke" everything is and say they can't say anything without being cancelled, all while saying all the things they claim they'd be cancelled if they said. I think that 2016's result changed society in a way I'm not sure we'll really recover from; I'd only compare it to Reagan whose financial policies we've never recovered from.

Jungle Book is easily better than the original. People who would take the animated one here are hard to take seriously. Most of the others, I could say sure, no way they're better. I personally do prefer Little Mermaid to the original though, mostly because I find Ariel in the original to be naive and unlikable in most every way. The remake presents her a good bit differently and she doesn't come across as just a brat. The love story aspect is also better in the live action than in the original.

As a Twolves fan, I have to be biased towards KG (even if he didn't win his ring with us). He played his best basketball in Minnesota, and as just a complete player I still feel he's pretty underrated in the grand scheme of things. Big men today mostly have outside game, but KG was relatively special in his day with possessing a huge range of things he could do on offense. And like was said, I think he possessed such an unmatched determination and drive. I normally don't like trash talkers, but KG could always back up what he said.

But I dunno, Jokic is really special. I don't think there's every been anyone quite like him. A lot of people I've been talking to in person have scoffed at the idea of including him amongst the all time greats, but the man has 2 MVPs (and arguably should maybe have a third), and now he's won a ring, finals MVP and accomplished a ridiculous playoff feat that no one else ever has in history.

I voted for Hillary because I'm not certain a Gore win would have prevented Trump. Also, W's legacy will pale to Trump's in so far as what kind of lasting negative effect it has. 2016 is the one election that's probably changed the country, and the world, for the worst the most. At least in my own lifetime; you'll have to go back to the 60's to find an era when hatred was so mainstream.

I'd say Reagan deserves honorable mention however. If he had never been president so many things would be a lot better.

Has anyone else who lost parents found it difficult to deal with the most innocent situations? Someone older than me mentions their mother and I feel some type of way. I meet someone older than my mother when she died who lives a less healthy life and I wonder why they got to be so lucky.

I'm not wishing ill will toward anyone and fully understand "thats how life works". Has anyone else felt the same?

I've felt this way about a grandparent, certainly. While I guess my grandmother lived to be a somewhat typical age, I was a bit of a late bloomer when it comes to my own life and she died before better things started happening to me. I'm sure you've heard that old saying that goes something like, do this for me "and I'll dance at your wedding". That never happened; she wasn't at my wedding, and maybe that's on me for blooming late but when I think about things like that it does make me feel a bit sad, and wondering why things didn't happen in a way where that could have been a reality. But that's a grandparent, though I'll say she was basically a second mother for me because I lived with her more than either of my parents when I was growing up and even into early adulthood.

Very sincere condolences. I hope you're holding up as best you can.
