It's pretty funny how people want to act smart over the trailers of this movie.

"Oh you can't grant anyone's wishes. That would be chaos! The bad guy is right!"

For one we don't know if there's established rules for these wishes to begin with. Even Genie has rules in Aladdin.

But like...isn't it obvious that the the journey of the heroine herself is that we should make our own wishes come true and that their kingdom being built around wishes is flawed?

Has media literacy got this low that people are believing that the premise given to them by a villain in a trailer is correct? Do people honestly think that the end goal of this movie is going to grant everyone's wishes and not remove the illusion of what they're living under?

So yes spreading lies and hate can affect a movies box office numbers regardless if the movie is good .

It probably doesn't no. Controversy doesn't hurt movies. If anything I'd say the lead up to Captain Marvel was a lot worse.

What kills a movie is apathy. MCU is beginning to have an apathy problem.

I sure wonder if that foreshadows some mysterious motive?

Sounds to me that he's a villain who promises to make wishes come true so people don't have to try and earn anything and he then keeps wishes for his own benefit.

The obvious message in the movie is gonna be that our wishes are what drives us to be better people in order to make them come true ourselves. So when he takes that away from people he stops their potential.

Not really sure how this makes him right?

Also he doesn't say that he only doesn't grant wishes that are harmful. He says he only grants one that benefits the kingdom. Which is going to be ones that benefit him. Because...he's the villain.

You dont need to go into your bank to order checks. You can do it online or simply call them and they will mail them to you.

I think an issue with checks is that he needs to bank it in his grandpa's account so it would need to be under his grandpa's name no? As he doesn't have a checkbook of his own to write checks out too.

He should call up and see his options for sure. This stuff can change depending on bank and area.

Personally it sounds like you are going through too much trouble opening a 2nd account at a different location when you could simply order checks from your current bank.

He doesn't seem to be able to go in person to his current bank. That seems to be the big issue here really.

Nah, that just means they aren't interested. Someone who is into you will always find a way to keep conversing with you. You can be the most social person in the world, but that means nothing if the other person

Fun Fact: You don't even need to be the most social person in the room to be in a relationship. A common misconception is that introverts or "quiet" people can't get into relationships, when thats far from the truth.

You don't need to be the most social person in the room. Being completely socially inept is another thing entirely. At the very least you need to know how to hold a conversation and step out of your comfort zone.

The issues sound pretty similar to a lot of older Marvel movies. The chemistry between the heroes is the highlight. The villain sucks.

The short runtime also leads to a feeling of it being a bit underbaked too.

Overall though I don't really understand why they thought the follow up to Captain Marvel and Ms Marvels debut movie should be some freaky Friday type of plot. It almost seemed set up to fail with everything leading up to this. Why does a billion dollar movie get a spin off team up thing instead of a proper sequel? Weird decision through and through. I don't think it's a coincidence that the stuff building off Disney+ have been the biggest failures.

Wow. I live in Australia and I had no idea sure transfers cost money in America. They're free here.

Do you have a bank you can travel to that has an account that doesn't have fees for what you want to do? If so open an account there, transfer the money from your account to it and then go to the bank and withdraw. I think that would still be the easiest way.

If you have their bank details are you not able to do a wired transfer regardless of what they think? They need to withdraw the money either way.

Another option is you could open an account in their bank, transfer your money to it and then withdraw and deposit when you're in the bank.

I dunno about the carts specifically but I don't think they're drastically different than SD cards. The Switch caps out at 95 mb/s for SD cards.

The PS5 SSD is 5.5GB/s

Arad has produced shit (Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Venom) and also some great shit (Spider-Man 2, X-Men, Spiderverse). Arad is at his best when he can be reigned in. Nintendo putting half the money behind this film means they have some power, and they're pretty protective of their properties, usually.

It's all about the talent attached to it tho.

The director, Wes Ball is decent. For a YA adaptation The Maze Runner films were surprisingly good. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes also looks great.

I thought he was only okay. I think Venom works best when he feels like a stalker of Parker after being a jerk in the symbiote. That doesn't really happen in this game and arguably Harry would have ended up as Venom even if Peter never used the symbiote. Which really changes the dynamic of that villain as Venom is usually a villain Peter accidentally creates.

I was a little bit disappointed in the whole Web of Shadows direction too. I was kinda predicting that would be the climax since I'm figuring out what the Insomniac formula is for these games. I think Venom works a bit better if he's just focused on Parker and Spider-man. But at the end of the day it's a video game this direction overall makes sense.

The alternate color scheme of the Miles suit isn't as bad. That weird toothpaste blue really ruins it. But I don't like the hair sticking out either.

Doesn't have to be the comics. Pete is shown to be exactly the same, he still follows the mantra 'with great power, comes great responsibility'. He has great power, to throw it all away is going directly against that. To Pete, that SHOULD be the same as spitting on Ben's grave. And May's, now that I think about it, since she was saying he should have balance yet here he is...focusing on one singular aspect of his life over balancing it out.

He knows the city is in safe hands and he's still willing to help if needed. He's not breaking his mantra at all. If anything the lessons he has taught Miles and being a phone call away puts the city in a safer place compared to when it was just himself.

I do have a feeling that Insomniac is gonna introduce Gwen and make her Ghost Spider in this universe. I don't think they'll kill her and I don't know why else they'd save her for so long.

But I also think Green Goblin is gonna kill off a main character. Don't think it's gonna be Gwen, MJ or Miles. Probably will be Harry.

I'm more curious about what's between now and SM3. I wonder if they'll bother with the DLC episodes or just go right to the spin-offs.

Cindy Moon and Miles Morales seem like a lock in.

Maybe one for Venom as well but the only real cliff hanger for that left seemed to be Carnage. Didn't seem like they left any loose ends for Venom but they could always have Eddie Brock somehow find the original symbiote or something.

Either way I think Carnage will be the main villain for a spin off game.

My biggest surprise actually is the lack of any hints for Gwen Stacey (outside of the Spider-Bot) thinking about it.

Just rolled credits and this complaint cracks me up even more. Like the literal mid credits scene is Doc Ock saying he is writing the final chapter.

Peter will be back for Spider-Man 3 and that will likely be considered the finale of Insomniac's Spider-Man story. Everything is being built up for that.

She is shot and killed at the end of her phone call with Kraven. That's why Peter and Ganke know they're all dead.

The Arkham games also tried to move Batman forward and give him an ending.

Gotham Knights is completely about Batman not being around and his apprentices taking over.

The advantage these games have (movies too really) is that they're not comic books that are intended to continue forever. They can plan our narratives and character arcs that have solid endings and the universe can continue on (which can also change up gameplay opportunities as well).

In this case it's extra stupid because it's fucking obvious to anyone with half a brain that Peter Parker isn't done being Spider-man even if he wants to be.
