I watched this ridiculously boring/silly artsy movie just to understand the Tilda Swinton cameo in What We Do in the Shadows. It's a vampire movie with Tilda and Loki.

I did love watching these 2 because the ancient one and Tom Hiddleston are some of my favorite actors, but the movie is just 2 hours of these vampires lounging around, literally.

Welp, watched the finale. That was a cute ending.

Feeling unsatisfied though weirdly enough. I don't think I'm quite at the emotional level the show wants me to be. It's just so rushed and like a reverse season 8 got with happy ending instead of sad.

I liked Rachel a lot more although she had more chemistry with the boss Neil in that dance sequence. Which again is weirdly intimate and just weird to do a dance in front of the whole office while they're clapping and cheering. I take back the realism part

Oh wow, I also did my own rewatch of boston legal I think before the pandemic, and I remember pretty much saying the same thing with regards to the weird gross incest plotlines, season 3 was it? I skimmed some of the comics and I am loving Jon Kent Superboy and Damian Robin dynamic, reminds me of Robin and Supergirl that one time except this has so many more issues and a great Recess vibe.

But just wondering what comes after before I get invested in it, last time I got invested was Gotham Academy and that kinda petered out.

Unfortunately the Disney plus version still has audio issues, some which are pretty big dealbreakers, like actual dialogue omitted in some scenes including punchlines which is a real shame. I was excited when I saw it on Disney plus but some episodes like the family reunion when they go to Hal's side of the family has audio cutouts where you don't even hear Lois sobbing which sets the boys and Hal off to seek revenge against his side of the family for hurting Lois.

I like how even non-soccer fans instantly recognized that Xava was clearly meant to be Ibrahimovic, it's like they got his long lost cousin to play the part that likeness is insane.

You know how it's annoying when on shows and stuff characters are assholes or mean for no reason other than to give a reason for the viewer to hate someone? This show doing the opposite where they keep changing a personality to making them happy-go-lucky.

What's ironic is that this is how I felt about christina ricci in now and then, she grows up to be rosie odonnel and as a kid watching the movie I remember feeling crestfallen seeing that.

It's kinda crazy that when this came out, square enix really was at the forefront of rpgs and all things jrpg and was the standard for the genre that all other subsequent companies tried to emulate, where they were both still making good games and releasing good games, compared to them doing neither nowadays and yet somehow still in business.

Little did we know how garbage that game was. The immeasurable hype to the absolute disgust while playing it was the biggest whiplash of gaming by far.

I remember ps3 days where fans were going "we still have versus 13 as exclusive! It's still good it's still good!"

I love it. All these rules and weird institutions... for assassins and whatnot. Hotels and tailors for assassins. It's so over-the-top and the movie just goes with it completely like it's matter-of-fact.

Felt that way with the first one too, but the second one just leans into it so heavily. Telegrams and phone operators for... hits. The lols to be had are immeasurable.

I really liked season 4 and the season 4 finale, but I don't think the show really found its stride until the Seinfeld reunion season, and from then on every season was hilarious. I absolutely love season 9 for obvious reasons it's my favorite

I still think it's the best one of the original trilogy.

It's more real than US office if that makes sense, which 80% of the time is a bad thing since that means it's boring, but for that 20% it's golden. Like Brent actually getting chewed out by his boss for his idiocy. In the US office Jan would just sigh at Michael and he'd do the equivalent of Urkel's "did I do thaaat" and keep failing upwards. Or sleeping with her somehow.

Meanwhile it's extremely cathartic to see the new branch manager Neil put Brent in his place. I bet that's what would have happened in US office with Josh and Michael if he'd stayed.

Found him annoying in my teens when everyone was quoting his stuff and I didn't quite get it/find it funny.

But now I think he's hilarious to ok.
