I unknowingly pumped my own gas in NJ. didn't see anyone outside anyway. The guy came running out and called the cops

First time I got gas in NJ, I also unknowingly pumped my own gas. The guy walked towards me laughing, and said something like "it's okay, I can trust you". I asked what he meant by that, and he said it's full-service, so he should be pumping the gas for me.

Statewide: New Jersey and Oregon.
Local Townships: There are some townships that ban self-service gas stations as well.
Reason: Antiquated laws stemming from safety and full-service gas stations (that were commonplace at the time) now repurposed for job creation.

yeah they are, but they'll last you a long time. you'll end up spending the same for 4 mediocre lenses that you would for one amazing one. and they aren't all super expensive. i mainly use the sigma 35mm 1.4 and it goes for around 600

Speaking of f-numbers, is there anyway to know which f-stop to use relative to the depth of field? Or is it just experience?

e.g. if you're trying to take a group photo, you don't want a low f-number. I don't know what f-stop to use... I'd guess f/4.5, take a pic, and see if everyone's in focus; if not, stop down a few numbers to f/6.3 etc.

I really dont want a smartphone cause I have no use for it. Just want a camera to take good pictures on trips.

I haven't looked into point and shoot, to be honest, so I can't help... sorry. I really don't think they're necessary in today's markets, with cameras in phones that can reach point and shoot levels.

Now I need to save money to start planning on places to go to take pictures with all this stuff lol.

FYI, this is what I'm doing:
18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens -
My default lens if I cannot carry my photo backpack with me.

55-250mm f/4-5.6 lens -
Lens for when I cannot get any closer, and have to use some zoom. I have only shot one picture with this, and it was the NYC skyline from Governor's Island.

50mm f/1.4 lens -
My default lens if I can carry my photo backpack with me. The bokeh I get with this is freaking incredible. I love this lens.

10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 lens -
My intent with this lens is to use it for landscape, inside party/action shots, where I need a wide angle lens.

We get eight fixed holidays and two floating holidays (to be used on any day you'd like) for a total of ten holidays:
New Years Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Day After Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day

The floating holidays cannot be carried over to the next year. In addition to this, we get 160 hours (four weeks) of vacation that can carry over, with a maximum cap of 320 hours/year. However, we only get 40 hours of medical time a year, that can also be carried over, with a maximum cap of 200 hours/year.

After like 10 years of service, the four weeks of vacation turns to five weeks (woo /sarcasm); and after like 25 years of service, the five weeks turn six weeks (woo /sarcasm).

Prices are in current market price.

About four months ago, I bought a Canon T6s ($700):

And a standard 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens ($250):
https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/products/details/lenses/ef/standard-zoom/ef-s-18-55mm-f-3-5-5-6-is-stm

After about a month, I bought a 55-250mm f/4-5.6 lens ($300):
https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/products/details/lenses/ef/telephoto-zoom/ef-s-55-250mm-f-4-5-6-is-stm

And shortly after, I bought a 50mm f/1.4 lens ($330):
https://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/en/catalog/ef-50mm-f-14-usm

And today, I bought a 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 lens ($280):

Three UCLA basketball players were caught shoplifting in China, and were about to be fucked by China's crazy rules. President Trump asked General Secretary Xi Jinping to release them, and they were released. On Twitter, Trump wrote that the basketball players better thank him. In a press conference, the basketball players thanked Trump. The father of one of the basketball players is saying Trump didn't do shit, and now Trump is saying he regretted asking Xi Jinping to release them.

Basically everyone involved, except for Xi Jinping, are pieces of shits.
