Buy it using a credit card that has price protection. Then if the price gets lowered, you can file for the difference.

Or, since it's so close to BF/CM, just buy it now, and return it/price match it if it gets lower at the store.

They upcharged for reserved seats, and I partook in that before (so that I don't have to get to the theater like 20 minutes earlier to get a nice seat)... so this is a nice plus.

My local AMC has upgraded to a "dine-in" theater, where there are select reserved seats that you can order and eat food while you watch a movie. These reserved seats are ~$5 extra than regular seats.

Considering they charge $15 for a popcorn+drink, I thought the food was going to be extremely expensive... but look at the menu:
hOR6Jue

That's not bad at all! That's like normal price, when compared with low/mid-tier restaurants, like Chili's, TGI Fridays, etc.

Anyone tried this type of thing before? I might have to try it next time I go to a theater.

I used to like going to the movies but have noticed some things as an almost 30 year old man that either wasn't a thing before, or something I've just started noticing.

People spend a lot of time talking at the movies like as if they were at home on the couch with their friends, and people take their kids to movies that they shouldn't be taking their kids (younger than three years old) to.

It's really hard to enjoy the cinema experience when that's been transformed into a sit there and try to hear the dialogue through the audience challenge.

I think it's a generational thing, with the younger generation now just constantly on their phones.

65 movies isn't an insane amount. And I mean that in a good way, good for you TC I like going to the movies as much as possible too.

Let me expand on this a little bit more. I do have Moviepass, got it around September of this year. So technically, I guess I should subtract $140* from the $1,100 estimate, from the 16 movies I watched with Moviepass since then.

16 movies added up to $172.31 - $30 in subscription fees = $142.31

Removal of the security guard is the thing that gets me.

The perspective fix is a common thing on reddit in removing the stutter effects in videos. A slight zoom in and automatic balance for tilts.

The perspective fix amazes me, because I didn't do anything. Typically, you would have to show the program where the straight lines are in the horizontal/vertical space, then the program will tilt and zoom as necessary. In this case, it was literally no user input; when I dropped the file in the program, the program automatically fixed it.

This was the original shot, converted from RAW directly to JPG:
tQc2JXe

Because I am taking a picture from the ground, there's sort of the misaligned perspective added to the shot. I also didn't take the shot 100% straight; it's a little tilted to the right. In addition, there's a security guard in front of the right "20" sign, on the second floor.

This is the processed shot:
0sF7SIl

This gets rid of the vignetting on the corners and the various lens flaws (e.g. the chromatic aberration, barrel distortion, etc.), and brightens up the darker areas that aren't shown very well when seeing the RAW file.

And this is the final shot:
NwADg4O

This gets rid of the security guard, straightens out the image, and corrects the perspective distortion, as if I took a perfect picture, and is cropped properly.

..........all this was done automatically, with no real user inputs, using DxO PhotoLab, ViewPoint, and Photoshop Elements. Seriously... this is magic.

The cellular plan I have is $0 for unlimited text and voice, and 100mb. After 100mb, it is $12/gig (up to $45, where it switches to unlimited).

I tried my best to not use data, and I ended up using around 32mb; so this month's bill is a big fat $0. And let me tell you........ it fucking sucked.

I had to actively turn mobile data off, look for wifi hotspots everywhere, and did not use apps that I normally used all in the effort to save data.

I definitely will just pay $12 next month to have data connection always on. I doubt I'll use over a gig.
