I'm definitely watching it. I had a feeling when I first saw the promotional images that 3Hz was behind the series. The art style definitely has some similarities to Princess Principal, and based on the histories of both the studio and the director, I fully expect there to be at least a little bit of yuri in the show. Which was the old one that had Sir. Killabot and some Armadillo with a girl's name? They also had Hypto Disc and Razor I never we got that fight but Razor got stuck on the bottom part of the stage and post, that was disappointing....

That was Robot Wars. Both shows were on in the late 90's and early 2000's, and both returned to TV within the last two years.

i got sick of there being in almost every episode of Robot Wars i saw some team that had thrown together some shoddily built bot in a week because they said they weren't given much notice of their appearance or whatever, and/or teams that couldn't even describe exactly what their bot's weapon was or how it was supposed to be effective at disabling other bots. some teams when being interviewed gave the impression that they straight up just didn't even want to be there. many others knew they had no chance and were just going to be fodder, barring an odd lucky win. stuff like this was far less prevalent in Battlebots.

Fair enough. Both shows do have some "fodder" bots, and I admit that Robot Wars does have more of them. But that's the case for two reasons:

1) The money involved. BattleBots teams are given money by the show and can get more money from sponsors, while Robot Wars teams pay almost entirely out of pocket. Having more money obviously means the BattleBots teams can build superior robots using it, and some of the teams that do particularly well in Robot Wars (notably Carbide, Terrorhurtz, and Behemoth) also enter different robots in BattleBots (Cobalt, Beta, and Radioactive, respectively) and use the money to fund both robots.

2) BattleBots treats it a lot more like a serious sport, right down to having an actual referee there to count robots out. Robot Wars is playing it more like a fun and friendly competition, and they do this by bringing in teams that are interesting and fun as well as those that are just plain good. Teams like Track-Tion, Expulsion, and (until they evolved from Joke Character to King Slayer in series 10) Nuts are there to show off teams with interesting backstories, or just to lighten the mood.

Robot Wars may be different, but it's still very enjoyable and has some incredible battles. Go watch Carbide vs. Behemoth vs. Nuts 2 from the Series 10 Grand Final episode, which was (IMO) the most fun battle in the whole series, and the perfect example of a fantastic battle that would simply never be seen on BattleBots.

Robot Wars just isn't the same.

I've watched both, and I disagree. The bots may not be as stupidly destructive as in BattleBots, but they're still very powerful. Plus, the arena hazards and the house robots also add an element of strategy that BattleBots simply doesn't have. I think the battles in Robot Wars are just as good in terms of overall excitement.





I hope Robot Wars gets another season soon too.

Dragon Ball Z was one of my first few anime, but not the first. My very first two anime were Pokemon and Sailor Moon (around the same time, can't remember which I started first) and the first anime I ever watched start to finish was Cardcaptors. DBZ came after those for me.

I think Homura would make a better subject for a psychology project considering how much crazy stuff she suffers through in the series. Especially with what she does in Rebellion... which you still need to watch, dammit! Still, Madoka is also a very interesting character, and I'm interested to see how your project turns out.

This is the key point. If the baker had just flat-out refused to serve that couple or do anything to help them, I would disagree. But the baker didn't feel comfortable making that specific cake, then calmly recommended alternatives to try and help the couple still get what they wanted. That's IMO enough help to not get sued.

But I do have a future concern about this. What if the competitor that this baker recommended answered them the same way and refused to bake their cake? What if every single bakery in the city did the same? How many refusals would it take for the situation to go from "this baker doesn't feel comfortable making this cake because it's against his religion" to "this couple isn't receiving a service they're willing to pay for just because they're gay" and cause an even bigger problem?

Given that quite a few people here use ImageFAQs, I'll post what I was told to use to fix it. Of course, thanks to moh82sy for finding out and sharing how to fix it.

Thanks, it worked perfectly!

Now let's just hope that @kirbymuncher has a similarly easy fix for xFAQs as well... or decided to get to work on that dedicated rotating signatures script.

I have never watched a Fate anime or played any of the Fate VN's, and everything I know about the franchise from the outside is only due to memes and listening to other people talk about it... but dammit, this adorable little Umu right here might tempt me to watch the new series, even if I have no clue what's going on.

This is why we're seeing more games being remade or ported,and hopefully even more in the future. Link's Awakening got a 3DS Virtual Console release, Goldeneye 007 got a remake, Pokemon R/B/Y/G/S/C got a 3DS VC release and remakes. As much as people bitch and moan about game going "full digital" and "online servers eventually going down", physical copies will still succumb to father time as well, and they're much harder to back up and salvage your save data from.

In addition to the anime I mentioned earlier in this topic, I started watching the brand new PreCure series that began yesterday. I've never followed a PreCure series as it airs, but I've watched one of the past PreCure series (Heartcatch) in the franchise and parts of others. This should be... interesting, to say the least.



Since there's only been one episode so far, it's not included in my rankings of the shows I'm following this season and how they've done so far...

The two shows I was most hyped for before the season started (Darling in the Franxx and Beatless) have both underachieved so far, but both are showing some signs that they'll get better in the coming episodes. Meanwhile, the show that seemed the most likely to become a mediocre throwaway show (Katana Maidens) has turned out to be the most fun, exciting, and interesting show so far. The others are going just about how I expected them to.
