Yeesh! 3 yes, 27 no is the current vote! No wonder racing games aren't discussed much here. One of the great things in Gran Turismo, Forza, Test Drive, Tokyo Xtreme, etc. is racing cars that I and my friends and family have owned and driven in real life.

With racing games, and much like flight sim games, I feel you need the whole setup with steering wheel, pedals, joystick, to get that in-game experience. Unless one is really into those kinda games, that is extra stuff that to buy and keep around.

I think one friend of mine actually bought some racing chairs with the built-in feedback. Though this same friend and a few others are really into cars and actually bought a Miata together to mod. Currently he himself bought some ol car, dunno which model, took out everything, cleaned up the frame/chassis, and is planning to install all sorts of new stuff into it. Definitely a hobby of his, but a pricey one.

With fighting games though, I have been told fightsticks makes a difference compared to controller which is probably why the majority of said players have fightsticks.

Would you continue to play a game with friends if you don't enjoy it?

I am sure there have been cases a friend(s) can't get into a game you like and vice versa. I have also seen some threads throughout GameFAQs asking how to convince said friend(s) to like or abandon certain games.

Regardless of the game or reasons, could you bring yourself to buy and play a game with a friend(s) just for the sake of playing with said friend(s)?

For me personally it really comes down to the cost of the game and if I'll get some enjoyment out of it. Take 2D fighting games for example. I lose 99% of the time but I still enjoy playing them with friends. Clash of Clan, I enjoy it but just can't get into clan wars so I play everything but that aspect of the game.

And then there's some games with questionable reviews like Fortnight. The game looked fun but I was hesitant on dropping $50-60 for it when there's microtransactions in the game. Now if the game was dirt cheap, I'll buy it even if I might play no more than a few hours worth.

Overall, would you buy and play a game if you can't really enjoy it just for the sake of playing with friends?

Comments and opinions are appreciated,

Thank you

Yes and no. Having been raised by the typical Asian parents I have had many of beatings and would prefer avoiding the same done to any kids I might have in the future. But at the same time, sometimes I feel words can only do so much to explain why one shouldn't do something and pain might be the only way to convey that lesson.

I'd say so long as said spanking, hitting, etc doesn't leave marks and used only as a last resort, spanking is fine but talking over with the kid about why one should or shouldn't do something and getting the kid to understand it would be far better in the long run. And like some have said already, the kid gotta understand the meaning behind the spanking. Getting them to understand is the most important part.

As an example, I once played with the fire on our stove and I got a good beating from my mom. A mistake like that might not have a second chance for me to learn my lesson.

When it comes to port beggars, many of fun series have eventually gotten on to the PC (i.e. Dark Souls) thanks for these folks petitioning and whatnot for these ports. The Dark Souls port was as simple as possible and even the tool tips referred to the PlayStation controls but that game was still really fun regardless.

Of course. Some students are more than capable of speaking English and another one or two languages. I see nothing with talking in another language so long as one is still capable of communicating with fellow students or teachers in English when the situation calls for it. Hell, I'd imagine in some cases people might want to talk in another language so they can have "private" conversations. Another thing, most schools offer foreign language as an elective. What if said student is merely practicing.

even if it's relevant, who cares? their use as notes was that they were specifically relevant to the course you were taking at that time, not because having written down a particular formula is going to be important forever. if you need to look up specific formulas, use the internet or a book on the topic, or even make new documents that are relevant to what you're doing now and not some class you took 10 years ago.

If/When I do give myself a refresher I'll probably use my ol books again so the notes and homework from several years ago would be relevant still.

I figure if/when I ever go back for my Master's, said notes might be useful. Fast forward several years later to 2017 and I find myself just working and it feels unlikely I'll ever go for my Master's.

If I do go back I'll probably need to review everything again from scratch. Have any of you kept your college notes long after graduating, are they buried away somewhere in a closest, or the first thing you tossed out after graduating?

If a third person, me, is getting involved I need to know there's next to nothing left between the father and the the ex and child. Granted part of me also feels it is wrong to ax anything between the father and child depending on the reason for separation.

The only product that might take me some time to choose would be clothing. Something could have the best reviews in the world and for all I know it wouldn't fit me right. Though my previous two shirts that I purchased via Amazon have fitted me well.
