Don't pay credit card bill
Get sued
Get assets seized

It is absolutely not that simple. Here's a more legally accurate website that discusses the matter:
https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/credit-card-debt-judgments.html

If you follow the breadcrumbs, it states that (depending on the state) there are things the creditor cannot take and are exempt. Examples:
Usually, the creditor can go after a portion of your net wages (up to 25%, more if the judgment is for child support), bank and other deposit accounts, and valuable personal property, such as cars and antiques.

Not all of your property can be taken, however. Every state has certain property it declares exempt. This means it is off limits to your creditors, even judgment creditors. Just because you owe money, you shouldnt have to lose everything. You still need to eat, keep a roof over your head, clothe yourself, and provide for your family. If you have very few possessions, you may find that most of what you own is exempt.

https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/how-creditors-enforce-judgments.html

In short, if you're a normal family and have just one home, and the home itself is not in default, they will not take the house from you.

That makes no sense. If you have a debt and if you have assets, why couldn't yout creditor use your assets to cover the debt?

Because credit card debt is an unsecured debt (hence the high APR). You do not sign collateral for that. Why should a creditor have access to another property of mine, that has no connection with them?

Example:
If I have a car loan, the car is the collateral. If I do not pay for the car loan, the bank takes the car.

Why not?

Aside from violating court-ordered repayments (like child support) and self-induced court hearings (like bankruptcies), the courts don't take over one of your assets to cover for the other asset.

Watching "Ca't Pay, We'll Take It Away!", Season 1, Episode 1:
There's a couple in England that's been living in a house for 19 years. They did not fall behind on the mortgage for that house. They, however, got into 30,000+ debt with their credit cards and other loans. Two High Court Enforcement Officers literally "broke into" the house with a crowbar, and evicted the couple. The couple still has to make mortgage payments until they can sell off the property to pay off the 30,000 debt.

Fuck that shit. What kind of country will do that to its citizens? Take their homes to pay off "unsecured" loans? That is seriously fucked up.

I'm looking to purchase my first handgun and joining a gun club (because it's literally the cheapest way to actually shoot the gun on a regular basis vs. going to a shooting range). The gun club requires an NRA membership, so checked their website for membership fees... and holy shit. Their website seems so delusional, with accounts of how the second amendment is under severe attack, sale of t-shirts that says "Stand and Fight", TV shows (I didn't even know NRA had TV shows) titled "Love at First Shot", laughing at Hollywood for anti-gun activism... Jeez, they seem very extreme.

YouTube does have algorithms to detect false views such as these.

You have all the resources you have now. No additional/temporary resources will be granted to you pro bono for partaking in this challenge. You are free to use your resources to help you meet this challenge.

You have three months to produce an original YouTube content that must garner at least 1,000,000 views. The number of views must be 1,000,000 or greater by the end of the last day of the third month.

If you succeed, you will get $1/view (at least $1,000,000 total). If you fail, you will owe $1/missed view (for example, if you got 750,000 views by the time limit, you will owe $250,000).

$60 with a $15 mail in rebate, so charged $75 today. What the fuck. Cabin air filters cost around $10!

They also recommended a brake job, replacing pads and rotors for ~$400/axle, which is also beyond ridiculous, because the parts alone cost no more than $100 and its literally a 30 minute job.

I go here for lifetime alignment (free), full synthetic oil and filter change (6qts for $45; very reasonable), and tire rotation ($10) regularly, and they always try to add bullshit services like this.

Yes. You're going to have to either buy your own weapon or pay high fees for renting one and buying ammunition. And considering you can buy a cheap handgun for a few hundred dollars, the cost of entry to purchasing very quickly pays for itself.

I have fired some handguns for free as an interested customer ("demo units"; limited to a couple rounds); so I guess I mean more like after I purchase the one I want and then go to the range with my own handgun.

I'm looking to buy a handgun, and obviously, I want to fire the handgun to get some experience and practice. This might seem like an odd question, but the firing ranges around me do not allow you to bring your own ammunition, and they seem to charge an incredibly inflated price for the ammo and paper targets, in addition to the range time. Is this normal?
