If I leave my exterior door open, my cats run away from it. They're content being indoors; that's their entire world. I have wanted to buy a cat stroller to let them see the world outside my house, but I don't want to be labeled the crazy cat person.

Some cats have remarkable self control and you can leave food out all day; the cat will eat what (s)he needs. Other cats, you need to feed them regularly. Read the cat food label and weigh your cat to figure out how much total food (s)he needs, and feed this amount throughout the day (at least two times a day).

In some jurisdiction, it is illegal to declaw a cat. Check your local laws. If it is legal in your area, or you can get a voucher to get your cat declawed because of your/your household member's health issues, speak to your vet about potential side effects of declawing. It may be better for you to relinquish ownership of your new cat vs. declawing the cat to make the cat fit your lifestyle.

A declawed cat should not go outside, as the cat cannot climb, nor can it defend itself. A normal cat can go outside, but many vets will recommend cats to stay indoor full-time, with no access to go outside. Regardless of what you choose, get your cat microchipped and buy a neck collar, so that if your get ever gets lost outside, (s)he can be returned to you if someone finds them. Note that in some jurisdiction, the killing and hunting of wild cats are encouraged, as cats are invasive species; so be sure to mark your cat with a visible neck collar to let strangers know it is not a wild cat.

So 8 months now.

Say I went with their $90 deal for 1 year when they first offered it back in November 2017. That means if Moviepass is still a thing after August 2018, it would have been better off for me to switch. But I don't have much faith in Moviepass lasting long...

August 2017 - $9.99/mo, charged monthly, for $120/year.
November 2017 - $6.95/mo + $6.95 Processing Fee charged for one year upfront, for $90/year.
December 2017 - $90/year for Moviepass and Fandor subscription voucher for 1 year at Costco.
February 2018 - $7.95/mo + $19.95 Processing Fee charged for one year upfront, for $115/year.
March 2018 - $6.95/mo + $6.55 Processing Fee charged for one year upfront, for $90/year.

I have been a monthly subscriber since August 2017, paying $9.99/mo, because I just don't believe this model is sustainable. And the fact that they keep lowering costs, and asking for all this money upfront is making me worried that they are strapped for liquidity.

What do you guys think, who know more about business economics?

A coworker wants to borrow a bunch of my power tools for several days. I told him feel free to borrow them and just return them in working condition. He asked me how much would I charge; I told him not to worry about it.

He was insistent on paying me something, so I told him to just buy me lunch. He kept saying that wasn't enough and that he'll pay me $10/day.

Well you see, for insurance to work, you need people to pay into it that won't use it.

In the case for health insurance, it's tricky because if it's not required, healthy/younger people won't pay for it leading to only the sick having insurance, which means insurance will pay out more, which leads to higher insurance premiums. So you force people to sign up for it, much like car insurance.

This isn't a hard concept.

Go to a doctor.

Yes. Take the dog to a vet or an animal hospital. At the very least, if your vet takes after-hour phone calls, call your vet and ask for advice, because (s)he is a trained medical professional with personal experience with your dog.

To the vet, or animal hospital, you go, and time to spend a couple hundred dollars.

I am willing to wager that you broke a law at least once in the past week: speeding, jaywalking, and/or pirating (including watching/listening to unauthorized uploads on YouTube).
