I saw the video and heard his arguments. His arguments seem hyperbole, with no proof. I also believe he has absolutely no background on the things he argues for, with a degree in linguistics and no real experience with how voting machines are developed nor coded.

Isn't it amazing that the US gov't (naval research) was using Tor back in the 90s, and only now are the average citizens hearing/learning about what this is...

Sure, tipping is optional just like most common courtesies are technically optional. But imagine slamming a door in somebody's face while yelling, "HOLDING THE DOOR FOR YOU IS OPTIONAL!" You're not wrong, but you are being a jerk.

2. "I can't afford to tip."
Then you can't afford to eat out, and there's no shame in that. Cook a nice meal at home instead.

3. "Tipping is a stupid system. Restaurants should just pay their servers a fair wage instead."
Good news! Lots of servers agree with you. Feel free to write your congressperson about this but in the meantime, keep tipping so your servers can pay their bills. And by the way, if restaurants ever DO get rid of tipping, they'll probably raise prices to cover their labor costs. So it won't actually save the customer much money.
4. "Our check was over $200! You really think they deserve 40 bucks just for waiting on us?"
Yup! And by the way, that $40 has to be shared with the host, bussers, food runners, bartenders...and then Uncle Sam gets his share. So it's actually a lot less than $40 by the time it reaches the server's pocket.
5. "Nobody tips ME at MY job."
That's because your employer pays you a livable wage. Servers, on the other hand, typically only make a few bucks per hour, and most of that goes to taxes. Tips are how waiters survive.

Restaurant employers are required to makeup the difference between what they pay their employees and the minimum wage, should their tips don't cover it.

6. "My food came out wrong."
That's unfortunate, but your server isn't the one who cooked your meal. Bring the issue to their attention and give them a chance to make it right before you take away their pay.

I agree on this case, to give the waiter a chance to fix the mistake.

Note: this is in the US, where 18 = legal adult but 21 = legal drinking age.

I think the teenager usually gets a free pass in this case, and the store gets in big shit.

I hope so. In sunny/overcast situations, the subject gets really harsh shadows, so I always wanted a flash for outdoor portrait photography. But because of the high cost, I never got into it. I saw this Speedlite for $350 at a pawn shop I frequent, and I bought it for $300.

But I know nothing of flashes.

I've recently gotten into photography and I bought the Canon Speedlite 600EX II-RT on a whim:

The premise of the world of the dead is that someone in the world of the living has to remember you for you to exist. And if they put up your picture, you can visit the world of the living.

At the end, Miguel's great grandfather, Hector, is about to be forgotten and get lost. But when Miguel comes back to the world of the living, Miguel obviously remembers Hector... So why is it such a critical thing to have Coco, Miguel's grandmother, remember her own father?

Depends on how bad the rust is. Surface rust can be removed with sand paper. A wire brush on a drill is also good for more stubborn rust.

Yea I saw videos (ChrisFixIt) that showed how to do it, which led me to try it on my own. I own a dremel, so why not use that and speed up the 1 hr+ manual sanding to a 10 minute affair?

No holes yet, I think. Paint is bubbling though.

So say when I start grinding, I see holes... If it's minor, I can't just cut it all out? If I really want to have nice angles, use putty to "form" the cut out part...?

I have a winter beater that is having some rust issues in the wheel wells.

Would this idea work:
1) Use my dremel to grind away the rust until bare metal. If it is in the metal as well, use the dremel to cut it out.
2) Use rustoleum to clear any additional rust.
3) Use rustoleum protection spray to coat it.
4) Use spray paint to "match" paint.
5) Use clear coat spray.

I don't really care how the fix looks, because the car is cheap and I drive it as a beater.

So will that plan work...? It feels like it's too easy. Professional body shop wants over $3000 to repair it (though they are cutting it out, welding and forming a new piece of metal, then painting it).
