Reasoning Behind Decisions
- I didn't feel like spending the time to understand the symbolism behind throwing or pocketing the coin, though I was aware that by pocketing it, it would force Harvey to shoot me to get it back. However, throwing it just felt off.

- I vaguely remember this in the Bat Cave. I didn't think of it as that important at the time. I guess that I was just focused on the present and future to really give a shit about the past at that point. That also seemed like a topic of discussion to have off-screen at a later time.

- It's clear she isn't simply a thief, despite playing a larger con on Bruce, so I was just stating the obvious

- While I did do it to protect Alfred, I was also curious how she would react since she holds Batman in high regard and Bruce not so much.

- Batman only needs to make public appearances when it is dark out and there's danger. Attending a press conference in the morning or afternoon doesn't suit him. Plus, I want to help repair Bruce's image.

Random Thoughts
- I had wondered if Vicki knew that Bruce was Batman, but the first conversation in the asylum answered that.
- Is nobody going to touch on there being a series of tunnels, traps, and what appears to be cultist shrines like 100 yards beneath the asylum?
- So all the patients at Arkham were accounted for, yet Joker is in a bar in Gotham. Yeah, sure...
- I looked at the game hub after finishing it and apparently you could die in this game?

Fourth toe on left foot. I have a makeshift splint and used medical tape to connect fourth toe and little toe for extra stability. What I am concerned about is that I shattered my toenail. I am not looking forward for it to fall off and regrow.

Fell down like two steps. Only other time that I've broken a bone, I was an infant, so this is practically a new experience. I'm also visiting my parents, so at least I am getting all that sweet parental love and assistance. I guess today will be a Hulu/Netflix day.

I didn't have much in the way of non-decision-related thoughts this episode. This might have been the weakest episode. I liked it better when there was a better balance of plot and character development with periods of "rest" between. This one just kept escalating and escalating. It got a little overwhelming not getting a chance to breathe really. in contrast, what I did really like about this episode was that the decisions were not as high-stakes as earlier episodes were but not easy ones to make. I like having more decisions where it's not about long-term consequences but situational morals.

I planned to do one episode each day until it was finished, so I hope to do the final episode tomorrow.

Reasoning Behind Decisions
- I was actually curious what would happen if I just stayed silent after Joker asked for a favor. I guess that defaulted to not giving him a favor. He still helped though...

- I remember Victor from I want to say Arkham City, but I couldn't recall what his deal was. I did not think that an orderly would be killed (they never mentioned a casualty, but he sure looked like he was murdered). Some had tasers anyway.

- I didn't want to be complicit financially with an increasingly fascist local government. Even if Alfred told me that innocents could be hurt if I asked him to gun it, I might have still run through the barricade.

- I know that Harvey was lost for good, but if I went as Batman, then I believed that he would turn against Batman as well. Didn't feel like that was something worth risking.

- Dealing with the tech fallout seemed to have much larger ramifications than losing the manor, so despite being presumably the most important decision of the episode, it wasn't that difficult of a choice.

It depends on which playlist for MCC. I have no trouble getting matches for Team Objective, Big Team Battle, and Halo 4. Some of the others I like to try (Halo 2, 2 Anniversary, and 3) can be hit or miss. I get nobody for Grifball...

Random Thoughts
- Last episode, Gordon said outside of the old theater that he hoped Gotham will see Batman the way that he does. At the beginning, he called for "a truce" with Batman and said that he should arrest Batman. Okay...
- I honestly didn't know of this Lucius Fox guy before this episode, so it was a little disorienting when it seemed, before even meeting him, that he knew Bruce was Batman.
- Uh, I chose to get the bad news first from Lucius, but I don't recall him explicitly saying what the good news was. Was it the USB drive containing whatever?
- WTF at Vicki being the Children of Arkham's leader. I did NOT see that coming. I totally should have when she somehow got an interview with the Children of Arkham and wasn't satisfied with her answers at the park.

Overall, this might have been the weakest episode. There just weren't a lot of ideas here and seems like the first two-thirds were half-baked ideas to lead to lead to what the writers really focused on. That being said, that final reveal was pretty amazing, though it does make me further feel like shit than I sided with her over Gordon. In fact, I probably have felt more shitty regarding my decisions thus far than I did in Walking Dead S1 and The Wolf Among Us combined.

Reasoning for Decisions
- I wanted to help Harvey more, but his situation seemed a lot less pressing and the overall stakes seemed to be less, so I went with Montoya who seemed like a lock to be KIA if I didn't intervene pronto.

- I guess not punching him means I kept my composure to Telltale because there's no way that any reasonable person would say that my dialogue choices during that time were "composed" at all.

- If I had a time machine, I would go back and ask Lucius to join Bruce at the manor. I thought it would raise red flags with the Children of Arkham if Lucius were to leave just as Bruce was to be replaced by Oswald. I'm not overly concerned if Lucius staying as a mole will bear any fruit, but since he said that he would be unable to come up with new tech or fix old ones, I have deep regrets after the beating Batman took at the rail yard.

- To be honest, I assumed that I was going to sleep with Selina regardless of my dialogue options in her apartment. I just let it happen. I'm not sure that I would change things in retrospect.

- Despite my best efforts, it seems Harvey was going to become Two-Face despite my best efforts. However, as I hope to keep him as Bruce's friend for as long as possible, so I decided not to beat the crap out of him.

A few thoughts as I went through the episode
- Falcone getting shot came out of the blue. It gave me a jolt! In retrospect, I shouldn't have been so surprised. I can't even tell you how many times I've seen a show/movie where someone is recovering/sick in a hospital and is murdered or dies before giving critical information.
- Siding with Vicki Vale in episode one has already presented some problems. I'm a little relieved knowing now that it wasn't considered a major option, but deciding whether or not to give her information about the shooting or not was full of bad options. I felt super shitty in the end when I gave her Montoya shot Falcone.
- I really thought that I was going to be given the option to save Falcone or not. It kind of makes the visit to his office seem pointless, but I guess that whole major decision of who to go as was meant as a psychological reflection on the player as to how they wished to solve problems.

Overall, it wasn't a weak second episode like I had feared, though it could still turn out to be the worst of the five. Only time will tell. That being said, it was a noticeable step down from the first. Telltale generally does start out of the gate well, then meanders a bit before ending strong. Through two episodes, it does appear that it could follow suit, but I'll know when this is all over.

Episode 2: Children of Arkham finished

Reasoning for each decision
- It seemed like giving Falcone morphine was the only way to loosen his lips, and he overtly said as much. Not that 70% is low, but given the circumstances, I'm surprised that it isn't higher.

- It totally didn't seem like the right time or place to give someone a kiss nor did I think it would have been earned at that point. Selina is also only in this for herself, so why would I let Bruce be emotionally vulnerable to her?

- I think of Batman as kind of a last resort option. Also, I'm more invested in being Bruce, so I was going to take that opportunity.

- I suppose if Harvey turns into Two-Face this game, this decision might not be the greatest, but not supporting Harvey meant the end for his campaign or him potentially being in bed with some criminal organization. I wasn't going to do that.

- Selina can defend herself, and she only had like two goons going her way. Harvey, while physically imposing, I have no reason to suspect that he is a trained fighter, thus needing my help more. It's also obvious that I'm being very supportive of Harvey. I'm sure that the combo of not kissing Selina and helping out Harvey will not help with the potential of future collaborations between Batman and Catwoman.

I believe that the second episode has been the weakest in the other two Telltale seasons using this formula that I've played (Walking Dead S1, TWAU). I hope this doesn't officially make it a trend.

As someone whose only exposure of substanse to Batman was about six of the movies, the first two Arkham games, and an animated series with the guy from Boy Meets World, I really liked this opening episode and the focus on Bruce Wayne. Also impressive was how much more fluid the game was since my last outing (The Wolf Among Us in like 2013). The only technical issues that I could recall experiencing was with the sound effects on the rooftop scuffle with Catwoman. Action segments were surprisingly exhilarating despite realizing that I didn't actually have to do the button prompts to succeed.

A few random thoughts I had written down while playing through
- I joked with myself before beginning the game in saying that the most important decision was making yellow the secondary color of my Batgear.
- I cracked a joke about the wine being expensive thinking that it was going to be told in a tongue-in-cheek delivery instead of the condescending tone that came out.
- Detective mode is really cool. I like the aesthetics and simplicity.
- Much like how jarring it was to see Falcone's 180 after simply standing up for Bruce's father, I had to laugh when Alfred said that I beat the goon from the warehouse half-to-death when all I did was slam him against the warehouse wall once and twist his arm.
- Wait, was the Batmobile always a sports car turned into...whatever you want to call that? I assumed it was custom-made.
- lol when Vicki said to Bruce that he wasn't Batman
- Seeing the photo at the end of Falcone with Bruce's parents all makes me think I will pay heavily for making that statement to the press. Batman didn't even take it...

Episode 1: Realm of Shadows finished

32.9% and I shut Harvey out at the meeting with Falcone

Reasoning for each decision:
- I know that Harvey Dent will turn into Two-Face in this season or next, but I felt like being a total bro and supporting Harvey in his run for mayor. I played nice with Falcone as Harvey asked, and once I shook his hand, I knew that I was going to pay for that. So to keep my promise to Harvey and also protect his image, I complied with Falcone's demands to speak without Harvey. I even went along with other stuff that Falcone was discussing, but once I told him to not speak about Bruce's father, that apparently undid everything from before and went on Falcone's shitlist.

- This might have been the hardest decision to make because I was thinking about long-term possibilities. I had a feeling that it would eventually come out that the Waynes and Falcone were connected, but I decided it was worth the risk to give an on-the-record statement to Vicki and hope that I would maybe protect Bruce's image at the very least.

- This was really easy. Every knows that low-level goons aren't provided with privileged information for the very reason of potential leaks from them, including during interrogations. I guess nearly half of all players just wanted to play super-over-the-line-bad cop.

- I initially agonized over this, but it surprisingly came down to remembering a codex entry. I know that Vicki is to some degree out for herself, as most fictional (and maybe even real-life) reporters seem to be like. I also was just recently notified that Gordon will remember my "non-violent" approach in the warehouse. That being said, Gordon was mentioned as not willing to take risks as he was a family man and feared retribution on his loved ones. Also, I was trying to help Harvey, so giving a prominent member of the media such a gift might help out in the future. Vicki ended up winning out quite easily once I gave it more thought. The rest of the world did not agree.

- Once again, further violence seemed unnecessary and also public image of Batman is something I want to improve, so just leaving Falcone to hang was another open-and-shut decision.

I have mixed feelings about this. It was a linear game caught in a semi-open world design, which made things a little iffy, and the old era of poor hitboxes and unwieldy cameras didn't help matters. Still, when it wanted to be fun and funny, it was great.
