After god knows how many decades, they finally lost the legal battle with Marvel Comics over the name "Captain Marvel" and thus had to change it.

It was only ever a trademark battle and they lost it decades ago. Since it was just a trademark battle they can still call him Captain Marvel, they just can't call the series Captain Marvel.

But whatever. I remember that particular example because of how ridiculous it was. Regular words can change, but when a parent wants their child to be called something, it's objectively wrong to call them something else.

I've explained to a number of people how language works, so I could be, I'm pretty sure I've never said that proper nouns can change though.

Apparently. I remember I had a conversation with some guy here where he said that if the majority says that something is right, then it's right. It's kinda true in regards to linguistics, except for proper nouns like the name, because that's how language work. I say kinda true because you don't need a majority, and you can have multiple correct usages, or pronunciations.

5) Spider-Man.
6) Just Cause 4.

That's all I'd say I'm hyped for, and those last 3 are pushing it.

If he really is not trolling, then I dont think he has worked anywhere, or at least no standard places of business. Ive worked at and seen more than a few shops lock their customers in, but only until they are ready to leave and only to prevent asshats from clumsily getting in after hours. Many other places wont risk locking the doors because of safety concerns, but theyll station someone at the door or at least have their employees monitor it. This isnt uncommon. Maybe JE19426 is just a minor.

Can you give some examples of places that lock customers in?

It's not "trying to pick both". It's a fairly common practice to not let anyone in past closing time, but to serve those who are already entered the store. My supermarket does this all the time.
