I know! Everyone else's trade pickups are doing great. Ours laid a big fat egg. Let's just hope it was new team jitters (as well as a long flight from NY to LA) and that he can actually be good for us down the stretch.

i understand people who like action, but I just watched a 1-0 game last night between the Brewers and Dodgers and it was very entertaining. An out at the plate. A robbed home run catch. Good pitching duel.

I do know what you mean though. There are some pitchers that take a lot of time between pitches, and they are the ones that tend to get stuck in 8-10 pitch duels with every other batter they face. That gets real boring, real quick.

I heard the Mets were going to be holding on degrom and wheeler because they want to aim to compete next year. Pretty agressive thinking on their part.

I'm more or less okay with what the brewers are giving up for Schoop, but we still have a gaping hole to fill in our starting rotation.

Don't get me wrong, I'm jealous you guys got Archer. I just know from our 2011 Greinke trade that sometimes those big pitching ace deals can backfire.

Looks like Brewers picked up 2B Schoop. Not sure where Travis Shaw is going to play now, but okay I guess. Maybe we'll convert Schoop to SS, and send cant-hit Arcia back down.

Was hoping we'd get a starter though...

yeah, Hader's got the look, the tattoos, the affinity for rap music, and the whole deep south vibe going for him. Is he the stereotype that he appears to be or is there anything more to him? Who knows. It's possible baseball has changed him somewhat.

Think of all those idiots in high school who used to talk like that (maybe some people on this board are among them). Got to imagine that at least some of them matured a bit after leaving high school or college or whatever.

Two more MLB players (non-Brewers thankfully) were discovered to have posted insensitive, racist tweets as high schoolers, young adults.

Seriously people, delete your old accounts/posts! Also, I know the media and pop culture like to whitewash the morality of schoolchildren, but if anyone remembers actually being in high school, this is how a lot of guys talked and acted. That's not an excuse. I myself didn't speak this way and certainly didn't post anything obscene on social media, but what I think the general public needs to understand (especially the older generation) is that this language from these players in their youth wasn't exactly unusual or uncommon. Hateful rhetoric like this starts in elementary school and only gets worse after that until you reach college where all of a sudden everyone is more grown up (for the most part).

I don't think this was a case of these people actually being anti-whatever, but moreso just a sign of immaturity and crowd following. Not sure a witch hunt is in order, but at the same time, not every teen acted like this in high school, so there is no complete excuse for it.

I guess I should reiterate and say there is a lot of Fortnite hating going on from people who never even played it. It's the cool thing to hate on Fortnite though, so I'm not surprised.

I found the last poll response poorly worded..."No. I've never even tried playing it; it's just not interesting to me." How would you know if it's interesting to you or not unless you try it? This isn't like some weird genre that you would know right away your not interested. It's a pretty standard shooting co-op game.

I also just saw the story about the Hader tweets. Yikes. This is not the kind of attention this team needs right now. We were hoping to get Machado too, to shore up our infield. Looks like he's going to LA instead.

As of now, this team smells more like the 2014/2017 Brewers than the 2008/2011 Brewers. Prove me wrong Crew. Prove me wrong!

lol, I love how everyone still thinks Hader is like this unhittable master pitcher.

True, he was, but as a Brewer fan I can tell you that over the past few weeks, Hader has been really shaky. He's been giving up runs here and there, and even when he isn't, there's a lot of activity on the bases usually. Looks like he carried that over to the all-star game.

Our problems started when the management decided to trade off better bats for poorer defense. Well, turns out our offense still sucks and now our defense does too, committing errors just about every game.

Brewers just tanking into the all star break, which is the opposite of what we were doing last year into the all star break.

We were 5 1/2 up last year at the break on a hot tear going into it. We lost that lead in a span of a week after a poor post-all star showing.

This year we played poorly before the break, losing the division lead and officially at 2 1/2 back (though tied in the win column). Maybe we'll flip the script from last year and get out to a hot streak following the break.

All I know is that our once vaunted bullpen now looks very vulnerable, and our on again off again offense needs to turn back into the on position sometime soon.

I know this is a highly unpopular opinion on this board, but I did not like Persona 3 at all. The notion of having to shoot yourself in the head constantly was just disturbing to me for some reason. Also the lights on the elevator to see Igor was so hard on the eyes. I have never gotten a seizure from a video game before, but if I would, it would be from those elevator scenes. Besides those two minor game complaints, I just never could get into the story or gameplay.

Persona 4 and 5 were completely different for me, and are among my all time favorites.

Having just played Persona 4 on the PS2 maybe only 2-3 years ago, the game is still pretty fresh in my mind, and I'd recommend that one, as it's more similar to Persona 5 than Persona 3 is. Persona 4 is basically the rural version of Persona 5 as it takes place in a small town away from the big city.

I personally think Persona 4 is slightly better than Persona 5 from a story perspective. The fighting part of it, I'd probably have to give the edge to Persona 5.

apparently Anne (or someone) has this skill (I think gained through confidant links) where she can negate a negotiation so to speak without giving up anything.

One of the few times I actually had a hostage situation take place, their skill kicked into action. It was all so quick though it was hard to even follow what happened. In the end the battle returned to normal so I was like, whatever.

It was kind of a needless skill. Either that, or it needed to be fleshed out more.

I used to volunteer with a suicidewatch thing. Vast majority were in the 18-24 range it seemed. Entering adulthood is just flat out scary. Lots of responsibility thrown on you all of a sudden.
