| EnvyFox 09/11/18 10:48:26 AM #10 | I didn't hate this show as much as others did or do but that's because, as crazy and unbelievable as this is going to sound, I completely missed the environmental messages each episode bludgeoned into our heads when I was a kid. I just saw the show as five kids with super powered rings fighting bad people and always needing Captain Planet's help after a certain point. The only exception were the Planeteer Alerts at the very end. It wasn't until the Nostalgia Critic reviewed the show many years later that I realized that the entire show was drowning in "Save the trees!" and "Anyone who doesn't recycle is the damn Devil!" messages. It was actually hilarious to realize just how oblivious I was to the obvious. I also looked up some episodes online to give them a watch and... yeah the show kind of doesn't hold up. Again, I don't hate it but I don't like it nearly as much as I did as a kid. But hey! At least we still have that end credits song AND a few really funny parodies!   Also, Wheeler is totally the inspiration for the American dubbing and name change of Joey Wheeler from Yu-Gi-Oh! |

Man that game is so good! I'm not a fan of the earlier main series Final Fantasy games (almost completely because of the combat system) so, when I saw FF Adventure at a pawn shop years back along with other Game Boy games, I passed on it. Then I saw online that it was actually an action RPG, went back as soon as I could and bought the game. Thank God I did, too, because the remaining GB games were bought up by one person just days later. |

| EnvyFox 09/09/18 12:43:38 PM #21 | For the record, any system in the childhood section made before November 2003 but whose official lifespan ended after that date bleeds into the teen section as well. Childhood: NES, Genesis, N64, Game Boy Color, PS1, Game Boy Advance, GameCube, Xbox Teen: DS, Wii And the Xbox 360 just misses the mark since I got that on Christmas of '08 AKA one month after my 18th birthday (I consider ages 13-17 the "teen" years). Also, if "growing up with" doesn't necessarily mean you owned the system then throw the PS2 in the childhood section since I would always play it at my friend's house during visits even though I didn't own one until my early 20s. |

The only section on Craigslist that interests me is the video game section and, while it's cool to browse through all the cool stuff, the sad truth is everyone selling around my area knows what they have and want at or above eBay/Amazon prices for their stuff. No thanks. Oh and yeah always meet in a populated public place when meeting up for Craigslist purchases. There have been news stories about people getting mugged and even murdered during these meet ups. Stay safe! |

| EnvyFox 09/08/18 11:02:34 PM #3 | The thing is a lot of the more well known "exclusives" that the system had have since been ported to newer, more popular systems so, unless you just like collecting these older systems and playing on them, there's not a whole lot of reasons to actually buy a Dreamcast system to play stuff like Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, Power Stone, Jet Set/Grind Radio and Shenmue among a whole lot of others. ... With all that said, HELL YEAH I GOT A DREAMCAST! Actually, I've got two! The first one was choosey when it came to whether it wanted to read the discs or not so I picked up a second one at a Goodwill for chump change. I love it and I know the 9 year old in me is smiling from ear to ear that I finally own the thing after not getting one on Christmas of '99, MOTHER!!! |

Like you, my first crush (that I can remember) was when I was in kindergarten. She was one grade higher than I was and I liked her so much that I once tried showing off by walking on top of some monkey bars. Ended up slipping off and hitting my chin hard on one of the bars. Needed stitches for it and still have a soft spot where I hit my chin to this day. Nothing impresses a girl more than crying like a wuss right in front of her, amirite? |
