One button specials? Yeah I'll admit that part is pretty stupid to me but I've never been a fan of when developers just decide to gender swap characters through magic or some other lazy way to get the character in the game. He didn't need to be in the game and that's coming from someone who chooses Terry over everybody else in these SNK fighting games. That said, that's about the only big problem I have with the game. One button specials outside of Super Smash Bros. style games is a little lame but they've been optional in past games and, even if it's mandatory, it's not a big enough deal to turn me away. The all female cast isn't a problem for me either. Best of all, going by trailers and the such, the game actually looks like it'll play decently. Unfortunately, I haven't bought a fighting game at or near release since Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (unless buying a super cheap used copy of Dragon Ball FighterZ 6 months after release counts as "near") and, with my eye on a few other games near that time including one I'm buying twice (one for each system), SNK Heroines looks like another one of those that I'll have to hope to find at a pawn shop or thrift store years from now. |

Instead, I kill the man where he stands and decide to take the entire organization he respresents down with nothing more than my fists and a hot foreign woman named Margarita. After busting many heads, we'll finally make it to the office of the guy supposedly running this whole thing... only it won't be a guy at all. It'll be Margarita. Turns out she helped me all this way just so she could catch me off guard and get revenge for tearing down her organization with her help. With her pointing a gun at my head, it'll look like all is lost for me until I get a vision from out of nowhere explaining that I'm literally the last of an alien species with the ability to punch really hard. I'll start glowing green (because it's my favorite color) and, with one strong punch, Margarita will explode into a gigantic pile of coins and bills adding up to approximately $10,000,0000. With the organization gone, I become a hero and am allowed to keep every cent that came out of Margarita. I'll then sell the rights to my story so that they can make a movie about me. They cast Chris Hemsworth as me due to our uncanny resemblance to each other but, other than having Margarita's organization specialize in dog sitting, they get the whole story wrong due to "artistic vision" and my movie bombs hard. It's all good, though. I'll be too rich to care. |
