My phone was acting up a bit, so I reset it, but...this got me to think of something. I have had it almost 2 years now......and I believe I have turned it off only a handfull of times, and all but 2 of those times (both due to the phone acting up) have been due to being in a movie theater!!!

I have gone many months without going to the movies though, and, it's quite likely, I have had my phone on for 6+ months at a time.

Considering some people don't even go to the movies at all anymore, it's possible people are running around with their phones on for over a year.

Now...this may not seem insane to many of you, but.....the concept of leaving an electric device on....for that long.....seems insane to me. I still always turn of my game systems when not using them, etc...that is just what we always did, and it has led me to never having a game system break down on me actually.

There was a whole (should you leave your computer on all the time, or not) debate years ago....I always went with the turn it off at the end of the day crowd (even though there was evidence it was actually harder on your machine).

But now...it's ....quite possibly years...that cell phones are going without a break. That blows my mind.

Oh and you can use frying pans, pots etc all on gas grills just fine....just about anything you can cook on a gas stove, you can cook on a gas grill:) Same is true for charcole of course, but.....it's just so much faster with gas (and cheaper).

Everyone should have a gas grill (even if you prefer charcole, you can have both) for such instances. It's just a fast easy way to BBQ aytime, but extremely great if you have no power for awhile/a few days.

Hmmm interesting, and thanks for the info.

Nobody is going to have a hard time believing there are bugs, it's pretty much standard *sigh* with all game releases now adays.

Main reason for me to get it is to play with my friends, as I have still not gotten very far in Fallout 4 (I own all the DLC as well and have never played it). I keep trying to get back into it, but I can't get past the start again (I just get too bored) and I hate playing old saves.

But, I love playing fallout (the past games all of them) and love playing games with my friends (we just played 7 days to die all day), so I figure this will be worth it just because it's fallout I can play with them. Really wish I could get into/past the early part of fallout 4...i may give it a try again, but I really wanna play Dark Souls 3 now that I FINALLY got the DLC (it was on sale for the first time ever 50% off on steam...finally). Me and my friends are all going ot play that together I think.

But yeah, I'm probably gonna give 76 a shot no matter what, just as it's the first time we will be able to play in the fallout universe as a group. There may be bugs (shrug there probably will be bugs) but I mean, there was bugs when fallout 3 launched and especially (tons) of them for New Vegas, and I loved both games a ton.

Fallout 4......just...felt like it ditched the RPG aspects too much and became a FPS with some RTS/City building whatever aspects. It didn't grab me like the others.

Anyway, man we are all up so late lol!! Thanks mead for the info:)

The topic title was about racism, and the political system being bad. So I made a pun saying it wasn't bad, it was just allright (but white instead).......but whatever. Good thing i'm not a comedian I guess.

Honestly the 2 party system, the fact that we are actually not even a republic (let alone a democracy), the fact that most or at least many of our politicians are basically bribed by corporations and the rich and tons of other issues are what is wrong with our political system.

Which carries over to our health care/medical system, our education system, our prison system etc.

But that would all be series, I was just making a freaking joke.

It's an effect of so many kids just watching videos etc since they were 4 or younger at this point. They don't even play games etc, they just watch others play them. Even older kids (up to 15 or so) often watch Lets plays or Twich etc, instead of actually playing a game (even though they have the game and or system).

So yeah, sadly it is normal or at least not rare at this point.

Ahh I always get the months of each season off. I have lived in CA most of my life so, it does make telling the seasons apart quite hard. All the "winter" holidays and shows etc always happen before December so I thought for the longest time that Oct/Nov/Dec was actually winter lol.

Looking at it again, it's more like a two month long sale lol (3 weeks of sales within 8 weeks total..or is it 9 whatever).

I mean you have halloween, then 3 weeks, then autumn, then 3 weeks then winter!! So yeah 3 out of 9 weeks are sales:) Not complaining but I hope they don't give smaller discounts because of the length of time.

Also, quite often, the discounts increase after each sale (IE if it's 25% for autumn it would be 33% for winter etc). In this case they are so close together they all may have the same initial discounts.

Food is healthy, too much food is not healthy.

It is true that some proccessed foods etc are probably bad for you especially if you don't eat them in moderation, but...they are not exactly real foods at that point.

There are TONS of healthy, yummy foods you can eat that are not bad for you in moderation, just make them with real ingrediants and you should be fine.

I heard they were strong armed into canceling them, and some companies wouldn't even ship them the games because of it.

Best bet if you want it cheaper is digital copies now, usually for PC (green man gaming etc), but then you run the risk of bad ports or tons of bugs at first.......so the really best bet is to just wait a bit.

Btw, did I miss the fall Steam sale somehow? I mean fall is almost over, and I don't remember having one.

I get what your saying, but.......it seems like goblins are not taken seriously and adventurers that die to them etc, are almost laughed at (which is pretty horrid).

Only the counter girl really seems to care/know that the newbie adventurers are going to get wiped out, the other adventurers with more experience seem not to care at all. Heck even Goblin Slayer doesn't care (he lets another group of newbies go off on their own in episode 2 I think it was).

Meanwhile I guess in most cases the groups that go out are more powerful then what they face....or at least that is the impression I get. The party that went with Goblin Slayer was not planning on meeting a General, especially not by themselves.

I don't know if you watched Grimgar and Ash but it's similar in alot of ways, the goblins basically would kill off newbies, and were almost considered a testing ground for new adventurers.

In Goblin Slayer it seems like that is what they are considered as well, but perhaps that leeway (letting them breed and exist for new adventurers to try their metal on) may be opening a way for something more sinister.

That being said, it's interesting (very) that the big bad of this last episode was not a goblin AND that it considered goblins beneath it's notice/worthless. I had thought that everything was leading up to the goblins themselves being a major threat, having a goblin king who was very powerful etc.

Perhaps that will not be the case.

The elf kinda explains it at the end, her adventures are "fun" not at all like what they just did. Only goblin slayer had not heard of ogres, the rest did, and the demon army as well (they tried to tell him about it earlier).

Also, that was not like any ogre in any fantasy realm I have played in read about, it had massive healing (probably better then a troll), and could cast at least level 6? spells for large fireballs like that, while having a ton of hp, huge strength etc.

It's like planning to fight some small goblins (level 2-3 or so) and running into a dragon meant for level 18 players instead. The entire team had no chance against it without that scroll.

The new members were all blown away by the cruelty of the goblins, they are kinda making it like the goblins are almost an unknown greater evil to the land, and only Goblin Slayer knows it, everyone else thinks they are just weak low level monsters and don't realize the damage and cruelty they are causing.

Over all I liked this episode, it had alot of combat but was pretty good as far as characters being developed. They didn't have nudity for no reason (like episode 2) and it went well with episode 3 (which was almost like a camp episode where the party members get to know each other etc). Not sure where it is going to go from here though, will the party members stay together, or will they split up again.

Looking forward to next week more then I have since episode 1 (still probably my favorite). I was very let down by episode 2, and episode 3 was good....IF it had other good episodes to go around it, and was going to use the character development later.

If the team stays together, I will elevate episode 3 higher, since it was for a purpose. It worked very well with episode 4 no matter what, so it was worth it, but if they keep the new characters involved, it is a great episode.

Yeah, I'm sorry, I meant to say they can't fire you "with cause" for putting in 2 weeks notice which is all that really matters, and if you put in 2 weeks you have officially quit, so th ey can't say they fired you when contacted by future employers. They are just letting you go early.

Also as mentioned (I mentioned it above as well), they are idiots if they do fire you, they can just not schedule you for the 2 weeks without firing you officially, and that way you can't get unemployement at all. That is what most companies will do if they don't want you to keep working there after giving your 2 weeks.

99 cents per whipped cream and the Kcup 12 pack was half off at $6:) Almost got 2 at that price cause it's pretty good. I'll prob go back before Wed and get more of the kcups...but not more whipped cream. Was a limit of 4 on the deal for them.

I'm only using half a thing of whipped cream per "cup" of hot chocolate, so that is 8 cups anyway...that'll last me awhile.

And yeah, I know 1/2 a thing of whipped cream is al ot hehehe.

Look, just make it a rule, you don't take orders 15 minutes before closing, and put the seats up (turned upside down on the tables) for all tables not occupied 20 minutes before closing.

Nobody can sit down after that, and while they can order to go, you'll have the food done by closing at that point anyway.

If the owner/boss doesn't like it...then he is in the store and he can freaking deal with it, otherwise how would he even know, so just do it.

No more problems in the future.

You can't get fired for putting in your 2 weeks notice and also, companies don't want to fire you. If you fire an employee without serious (provable) cause, you are on the line for unemployement benefits. WAAAAY better to have the employee quit.

Many will stop having you work right away if you put in your 2 weeks though, but that is at will...not being fired.

Also, as i mentioned there are restrictions on what they can say when used as a reference, if they break them, they are actually liable.

Here is a website that breaks it down. Short version is they can't lie, but they can (in most states) say just about anything that is the truth. They will often be very careful to ensure what they say is the truth though, and because of that, stick with just the basics.

Put in your 2 weeks if you think your being fired, and they can't say you were fired for instance (as long as you do so first, I would even do so in writing/email so you can PROVE you quit first in the future). Won't protect you if they have cause to fire you though, since they can still mention the cause (But again, over time it would probably just be simplified down).

It's one of the things they can actually say about you when contacted for references (although many people don't really follow the legal rules anyway).

Mainly though it's just being a decent human being if the job needs you, and you don't usually need to actually give the 2 weeks, just offer to work as much as they need you for the next two weeks. Most jobs have enough employees to just cover your hours and will not want you to keep working there anyway.

But yeah, if you can, give 2 weeks, try and build a good work history showing constant employement and have references showing you always gave 2 weeks, didn't just not show up for work etc. Makes getting jobs in the future much easier.

Ok, milk based hot chocolate is generally the best, especially with fresh high quality chocolate.......but.

Whipped cream.....works fine with swiss miss hot chocolate (kcup or powered version)....the primary difference being how the hot choclate tastes....without whipped cream.

But, if you are like me, and every spoonfull of hot chocolate has whipped cream as well, it doesn't matter much and using a kcup swiss miss is very fast and easy.

Also, I went to Safeway today and got both 4 full things of whipped cream (So yum) and a 12 pack of swiss miss kcup hot chocolate. I am set for days!!!

Total cost was $10:)

So heaven!!

Well, last night I just happened to find a box of kuerig Kcup swiss miss hot chocolate. Any port in the storm. So it was water, but I do prefer it with milk if given the option.

The swiss miss isn't that bad though with just water, which is why I had it.

I ran out of whipped cream though sigh...but at least I had a nice cup first. I plan on hitting the store today and buying more.

Sometimes I just get strange urges for things. I always like hot chocolate, but last night it was some kinda insane craving lol.

Pretty much every superman tv show was a better reboot then the one before it, while also being more dark in many ways.

Original was great for the time, The adventures of Superman. It was pretty light though and REALLY old so no dark themes really.

Louis and Clark was also quite good, but again, fairly light over all, and it was awhile ago, so you couldn't have quite as many dark themes, characters dying etc. Was also a bit of a romantic piece as well.

Then you have Smallville...which started off as a teen drama, but did end up with many darker themes, deaths etc throughout the series. Superman even goes dark a few times etc.

So yeah, Superman i guess:)....The TV shows for sure...the movies are just too mixed to judge.
