Spec Ops The Line. Mostly because I played it before the big surprise was ruined for me. "Just remember, after this is all over, you can still go home". Fuck, I don't know if I can replay it.

Surprisingly, Infinite Warfare's ending got to me. That CoD tried taking its characters a little more seriously than usual, and the death recordings at the ending credits are pretty rough.

Peace Walker made me tear up too, partially because I know in the end he will realize the Boss was right all along, but only after him and several others create war in her name.

The ending of Assassin's Creed 4 was touching too, from when Edward sees all the dead pirates looking at him in approval from a table to when he finally meets his new daughter. What Blackbeard said in the game I always liked too ("In a world without gold, we would have been heroes!")

Closest I got to crying however was the ending of Crisis Core, which is crazy because I know exactly how it would end. They were so close but the price of freedom is steep ;_;

How did Persona 3 did have a good story?? Climb a tower for literally no reason. Save the world.

Well for starters the characters weren't all buddy buddy with each other for most of the game, then The Answer shows that they're all independent thinkers with a strong sense of right and wrong.

The gravity of the situation was way greater in Persona 3 also. If they fucked up the entire world would turn into vegetables, and they alone were the only ones who could handle it. Persona 4/5 are isolated incidents where the scale of the situation only gets apparent towards the very end.

Compare that to Persona 5 where Ann/Makoto are the only real ones who are at odds with each other and even that was due to a misunderstanding, otherwise everyone can't wait to stick it to those ROTTEN ADULTS, ugh.
