Getting close to level 20. I'm finding tailoring is hard to level? But I got my enchanting to 75! \o/ So my next goal is to make myself a greater wand I think. But I need to start making money I think. I only have like 3 gold. >_> I keep hearing contradicting statements. Some say I should do the succubus quest asap, others say I should just wait to 60 to do all my class quests after the voidwalker. I am on a PVP server, but I have seen exactly one human and he was 10 levels higher than me so I just waved at him.

Oh so in FFXIV, the general rule is use aoe on packs of 3 or more. So when I get my aoes in this, is there a general agreed upon rule like that, or what's the deal? I assume on my warlock I want to dot everything up then aoe right?

Ran RFC and it was a disaster! We wiped twice, I accidentally ninja'd something. somebody got tired of the dungeon and left. We eventually cleared, but golly gee!

Then I went to the barrens and made chuck norris jokes and found mankrik's wife. I'm a real wow player now!

Had a 4 hour queue to login to classic, so that wasn't happening. So I decided instead to try retail. So I made another undead warlock to see the differences. It's interesting how classic and retail were very very similar, but noticeably very very different. Like being able to take on more than one mob at a time. Or mobs scaling to your level. Leveling being faster. Quests actually show you where to go lol. But at no point in retail was I encouraged to group up with people, and nobody was saying anything in chat.

Also retail graphically looks really nice. I don't think I'm going to continue with retail though.

Getting some really nice greens out in the world, and the ones I can't use or sell to someone else I'm disenchanting to level my enchanting skill. Seems this one is gonna take a while. I am having fun with it, but with the fun, comes a lot of frustration. I was trying to do a qeust in Silverpine where I had to get bear and spider drops. And there was an elite mob patrolling around and it killed me like 4 or 5 times. >_> It probably took me 90 minutes to do that one quest, just corpse running back to the area over and over, getting my voidwalker, then something ridiculous happens and I die and then I had to go back and get another voidwalker lol

But, I did get a green fire wand drop from one of the bears, and managed to get my wand skill up to about 60 or so!

The difference is in, say, a game like Overwatch, if you just play long enough, you have a fairly high chance of actually getting everything without spending extra money, and everything is account bound.

In Pokemon TCG, cards actually have real world value, and you can easily make profit on a pack if you know what you're doing.

TCGs are an investment. Loot boxes are just gambling. But worse, gambling where you mostly can't get anything of value from it. Imagine if when you put a dollar into a slot machine, and you hit the jackpot. But instead of paying out in dollars, it pays out in Casino Bucks that can only be used at the casino and can't be converted back into dollars, so it really doesn't have any value. That's what a loot box is. Which, btw, that is EXTREMELY illegal.

It kind of plays like a single player mmo in some ways. The world is split up into zones in the same way the world was split up into zones in FFXI. There's adventuring npcs walking around some zones fighting monsters.

But really, it's a single player game through and through. And while it's not an amazing game, it's really not bad either. I'd say check it out if you're interested.
