Emet was an amazing villain. Although he's evil as hell, you can still empathize with him and you understand where he's coming from. Natsuko Ishikawa is an incredible writer. There are so many moments in Shadowbringers that just punch you in the gut. Square needs to give her a giant raise. lol Maybe they'll give her all future MSQ? Or maybe even give her XVI's story to write?

I'm pretty sure I'm at the end. Unlocked the level 80 MSQ dungeon I believe. The 79 dungeon and trial were both awesome! And the story! I really want to see how it ends, but I was on for like 7 hours. >.>

God this story is fantastic, and they're setting up story hooks for the (supposedly) last 2 expansions. I'm seriously still guessing what the final boss could be. lol

I'm gonna have to see the rest of the story before I decide if liked it more than HW. But, yes, what I have seen so far blows Stormblood out of the water. And also, the zones are soooo good. Stormblood zones I never really had a desire to revisit them after I completed the story. I'm really digging the high fantasy almost fairytale themes, I could see myself getting lost exploring these zones for hours.

It's the first expansion after A Realm Reborn. The inter-expansion story leading up to it is long and tedious. But if you can make it to Heavensward, you're in for a real treat. It's everyone's favorite expansion for a reason.

Didn't get to progress nearly as much as I wanted to today because all day I had to keep telling people in my FC to stop fucking spoiling things. At one point somebody was like "okay I'm gonna complain about the first dungeon story because it's stupid" and I told them "don't say another word for the people that haven't seen it yet. yes, there are some people in the FC that aren't that far yet, please respect that". It fucking turned into World War 3. Feelings were hurt. People were kicked. The immediately after all that shit someone that has cleared the final boss started talking about end game stuff.

Needless to say, I'm in a sour mood after all of that.

At least I got through the level 77 dungeon!

Also, there was a story moment that I really wasn't a fan of. When Y'Shtola sacrificed herself to get the antidote, and she sent herself back to the lifestream, then 5 minutes later Emet-Selch brings her back from the lifestream. 1)She's already been brought back from the lifestream once already. And it just felt cheap that she got brought back so soon. 2)Were we not told that being exposed to the lifestream is basically a death sentence? So Y'Shtola was kind of already waiting to die from that, and now I guess she's going to die twice as fast, whenever the hell that's going to be? How many times is she going to die and come back? Idk, I was really liking the story so far, but that moment was just... blegh.

One of the three adds can't be tanked, I think. Maybe they just picked the wrong 2 to pick up.

Oh, weird. So kinda like Niddy I guess. But the other pulls didn't have that problem...

Also, I'm so glad that the final boss is still a complete mystery to me. All throughout Stormblood, provided you didn't use a level skip, you knew that you were going to fight Shinryu. I'm level 76, just did the level 75 dungeon. Emet-Selch spun a VERY interesting story. I don't doubt that some parts of his story are true, but he didn't go into enough detail about what Zodiark did that warranted the people to summon Hydaelyn. And I've always suspected for years that at some point we're going to fight Hydaelyn, and it seems that they're starting to set that up? We'll see where this goes.

Also... I don't THINK this is going to be the final boss, but I'm fairly certain one of the dungeon bosses will be Zorn and Thorn. I'm fairly certain that's who the two jester girls are in Eulmore. If I'm right or wrong please don't tell me.

lmao Yeah I'm not a healer main, but all my FC-mates are telling me playing on SCH and AST is fucked. And queues times reflect that. I think for the first time in MMO history, the playerbase is a majority of tanks. And I will gladly take fast DPS queues. But I'm positive the devs will hear the outcry from healer players and do something. DRG was completely screwed at SB's launch, and they did fix it relatively quickly.

Also level 74, did the first trial last night. First pull tanks didn't aggro one of the adds for some fucking reason, and they just sat there while one of the adds killed everyone else. Second pull we failed the dps check at the second set of adds (yes, really XD they yelled at me to use the LB3 at that part afterward. I was like "well we have 3 ranged, and 3 adds, but sure why not I'll do it.") Third time we cleared. I think I was the only one to pick up on having to stand in the water for the split damage. >_>

Also Nu Mou! I wants a minion of one. Somebody said Clan Nutsy has a Nu Mou minion for 800 nuts? I hope that's true.

Oh and I got High Jump on DRG last night. The animation is seriously INSTANT. You're up and down in a blink of an eye. But, it has really weird animation lock on it. You can't do anything for a long while after you come back down. I think it's actually the same length as Jump, but you don't notice it as much on Jump because you're in the air longer. I'll get used to it. Or they'll reduce the animation lock, and maybe you can double weave with it then.

I've done the level 73 dungeon. I can fly in one zone, and I'm fairly certain I'm getting close to unlocking flying in another.

I'm loving it so far! Dungeons feel weird. Some of my FC-mates are talking about things in like the 76-78 range, and I'm just like "spoilers much?".

I really am taking my sweet time with this lol

Edit: Oh also, there's a solo instance at level 72. I was stuck in a queue, looking at a black screen for well over an hour. >_> I appreciate the queues for solo instances, but fucking seriously Yoshi. I would have loved to use that time to grind FATEs or level a gatherer or something. Nope!

Rare remade Twelve Tales into Bad Fur Day because people were complaining it looking too similar to other games they've made starring cute and friendly animals like Banjo Kazooie though.

It's actually kind of crazy how much footage and info actually exists about Twelve Tales. Like some gaming magazines had walkthroughs for early levels. And some collectors have Twelve Tales dev carts. But, unfortunately, the carts require dev hardware with the ROM loaded on to play, and nobody has ever found one of those machines. So, the game might actually be lost forever. =(

Yeah Rare is known for making the best 3D platformers for N64. And while they are, really the only one that held up was Banjo-Kazooie.

DK64 is waaay too repetitive. You basically have to replay every level 5 times. And an top of that you have to keep switching characters over and over, and it's extremely tedious.

Tooie is ridiculously big and spread out.

Conker, while hilarious, the cutscenes just get in the way of the gameplay and flow, and it doesn't really feel rewarding to get a cutscene like it does to find a Jiggy.

I wish Twelve Tales wasn't deleted. :(

The original Kazooie, I can sit down and play the whole game in one sitting and have a damn fun time.

Tooie on the other hand, I get burnt out on it after like 3 levels. Everything takes so god damn long. Levels are too big and samey and confusing. I appreciate what they tried to do with the interconnecting levels, but why oh why did they make them gigantic?! And there isn't nearly enough stuff to fill the massive levels.

Grunty's Revenge is eh. Banjo works best in 3D

Pilot is actually a somewhat unique Mario Kart clone, and it's not without its flaws, but it's really not THAT bad.

Yeah I'm all capped and ready on poetics, mendacity and I still need to do like 1 dungeon run for Genesis. I know there's still a week to farm, but I'm gonna be busy all week, so better to do it now.

And yeah I think the Omega gear sets look fine. But for the highest set of raid weapons, they look a bit basic. Idk.
