It's not the best movie of its director, Mario Bava, who specializes in straight-up horror films, but it's the first movie that came to mind. It's very late 60s, early 70s in its aesthetic. Because this movie sounds like a disaster, but apparently people like it. To contrast this, though, on IMDb the movie has a score of 6.9, which I believe is the lowest for the Star Wars movies except for maybe the prequels, and slightly lower indeed in The Last Jedi. As I'm on my phone, I cannot look at the more nuanced stats of the IMDb score. I guess time will tell how the scores pan out.
