Places and groups will say "Oh this is important! We should do something about it!" and maybe implement something that has a shelf life of a few months. And then go back to the status quo.

Fucking Sewol sank and local school responses were to cancel all trips for the semester and added extra safety drills that no one took seriously. And then went right back to normal a year later.

This country is ridiculous on actually doing anything that can save lives.
Just like every other country I know....

In the video, one of the cops addresses it directly. While he arrests one of the women, he says "She lives there, not here!" while pointing to the house and then the sidewalk/parking area.

Their hits are really well done. It's the other songs on the album that are filler. Standard for the pop industry.

BSB are probably the overall better vocal group. Talent wise and more even within the members. NSYNC was obviously just JT and everyone playing catchup.

Also JC (from NSYNC) has a song with Ol' Dirty Bastard so that's a thing.

Fun fact: John Ford made John Wayne cry while shooting a movie. Ford had already served in Europe during World War 2 and it obviously had a profound effect on him. He was getting frustrated during the shoot and called Wayne out for not being a true hero and serving in the war, instead only portraying heroes on film. He eventually had to apologize to Wayne because he hurt his feelings.

This is why I'm really confused of why this is such a big deal now. She had him on her show not long ago when he was promoting his art on veterans. It went semi-viral about how cute they were.

Then during Trump's inauguration and McCain's funeral and basically anytime they were together, Bush and Michelle Obama's friendship went massively viral. "Look at their friendship! This is what our country needs now!" was the basic theme for everyone.

People just now getting pissed at Bush for this instead of the other times he was going viral for Ellen/Michelle are idiots. If someone was anti-Bush for years, that's one thing. At least they are consistent in their values. This sudden uproar is moronic and really showing me how certain people are, celebrities included.

Yes, we were. About how you called his neighborhood a "bad area". We had issues with the fact you defaulted to a black man scared of gun violence was living in a shit hole.

A user that actually lives in the city even clarified that the two areas (where Botham Jean was murdered as well as where this guy moved to) were luxury areas.

I never said it was the cops. The only thing I said about the police was this guy was possibly fearful of police retaliation. My entire argument and main point was simply stating that a black man being fearful of gun violence does not equate to some dangerous, "ghetto" neighborhood.

Very true. But there are definite periods were particular eras were much better than others. I put that more on the writers' room than anything though.

I mean when it was Phil Hartman, Bob Odenkirk, Conan, Greg Daniels, Franken, Brown, Jack Handey, etc, etc... doing the writing? It was way more hit than miss with all of that talent. And then of course when Tina Fey was writing things 15 years later.

I certainly don't agree with it being trash like others say. It's no where near as bad as the mid-90s garbage (save for the greatest Weekend Update host ever). It's just more tepid I guess?

Then again I haven't seen a single episode of this new season, I'm basing this off the past recent seasons of this era.
