A local range offers these courses, last about an hour and cost 60 bucks. To be fair, there really isn't much to it. Don't point it at people and keep your finger off the trigger. You always hear people say there needs to be more training and classes, but the reality is, guns are not complex; they're actually incredible simple devices and being safe with a gun involves only a few common sense steps. Even after spending 20+ hours with the game, the remote controlled ship is still hard to fly because once it gets slightly off axis, it's nearly impossible to recover. The actual ship you fly is so much easier to handle, and it flies great with a controller. Trump is still in power, and the Democrats have nothing to show for all their effort. This whole thing just looks like sour grapes to people. 2 years of building up the Mueller report, and when that didn't pan out, move on to crying about impeachment. I love the whole exploration aspect of it, and every time I start going deeper into a new area in the ocean, I start to feel anxious and excited. That's something that has never happened, and it's hopefully something that never does happen. Secondly, this officer that is being charged, had standing orders to stage, rather than intervene. The other sheriffs that joined him shortly thereafter were also staged rather than clearing the school. The on duty lieutenant also confirmed these orders as correct. Thirdly, courts have already ruled that officers do not have a duty to put their lives on the line to protect people. In your journal, you can find a section that shows you exactly how combat flows with damage numbers and rolls for each action. It's relatively straight forward. The only thing that I can think of that really isn't explained is strength or dexterity is used for your chance to hit for lightsabers, whichever is higher. This is not true for vibroblades IIRC, it always uses your strength. | StucklnMyPants 06/01/19 9:15:27 PM #24 | So has anyone here played it? I'm curious on other's thoughts. I played about 3 - 4 hours yesterday and overall it's a very charming game. The aesthetics are great, and the world design is wonderfully done. Since it's not randomly generated, each area is hand tailored which makes for a vastly more compelling way to spend your time. Not sure how I feel about the time limit so far. It's justified in the story, but from a purely mechanical standpoint it keeps breaking up the gameplay for no good reason. You'll be exploring an area and then suddenly your time limit will be up. So you watch a brief flashback, hop back in your ship and fly back to where you were, and all that was accomplished was wasting 3 or 4 minutes of your time. The game is also dying for a few more gameplay mechanics. From what I've played so far, it's basically walking around and reading text with the occasional minor puzzle. The exploration is fantastic because the world is so well done, but mechanically, there's really nothing there to engage the player outside of the story and exploration. --- Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes. |
