But then you're right back to leaving the money in the hands of someone who profited from breaking the law.

But then you'd open doors concerning whether or not the government has the right to co-opt it entirely (and if so, what they can use the money for), or if it essentially winds up having to sit in an evidence lockup forever or wind up being destroyed to take it out of circulation (which is what happens with a lot of physical evidence after cases are concluded).

I've splurged in high end restaurants in many different countries and while good, I wouldn't say it's any more satisfying than the best, dirty local food spots around me
