I'm not talking about going and flaunting social distancing and public health rules and acting like there isn't a pandemic.

I'm talking about the people who refuse to get on with their lives until there are 0 cases, or they are guaranteed to never get sick again, or no one dies anymore. I've noticed there's been this attitude among some people who've basically lost touch with reality and are just scared to do anything until all illness and death is eradicated from the Earth.

You should be aware by now, if you weren't before, that a problem happening in one country, originating in one country can spell disaster for your own down the line due to the interconnectedness of them. * the cdc is a federal agency, under the executive branches control. they've been horribly mismanaged and understaffed because trump has wanted it that way from the beginning. and the pandemic response units that were developed before trump came into office were disbanded.
* hospitals and all the other random crap you mentioned aren't the federal government, they have no ability to set policy or throw real money at the problem. and without guidance from the cdc or other letter agencies they've been left out in the cold.
* state and local governments have a finite budget and rely on letter agencies to help martial resources and information in national emergencies, its literally the major point of the federal government after all. but again, executive branch actively fucked the situation up and decided to let states figure this shit out. which is why we've got an inconsistent response on the state level.
* you probably mean the WHO, its the trump supporters "BUT HILLARY" equivalent response to covid after all. well seeing that they were caught by surprise as much as the rest of the world was, in part because the trump administration shuttered coronavirus mutation monitoring before the pandemic; i generally give them a pass on the early stuff. the misinformation they were pushing was part social engineering and part placating china so they could keep their people in place to monitor the spread. in the grand scheme of things, the WHO isn't important.

No idea wtf you are on about. That list I gave is a credible source of information about covid (I get there are some states and local governments that are bad but they are the exception not the norm).

I get it and we're going in circles now. Trump's response ever since he stopped the task force meetings have been shit. But, my whole point, is the information is out there. It's like blaming a bad high school teacher because they didn't tell you something when you could easily look it up from 1000 different sources on the internet. We're talking about what's happening now, not what happened at the beginning. Mistakes were made early in the year and things have been clarified and corrected. This is what I'm saying - it's almost July and people are still blaming covid spreading now because Trump called it a hoax 6-7 months ago, or the WHO said something wrong about masks in January, when we all know now how it spreads and what you can do to stop the spread.

Trump has spent the last 4 years telling his voterbase that you can't trust what news and scientists say. You can absolutely lay blame on Trump and his administration for the disastrous handling of the virus at all levels.

This is sort of what I'm getting at with the personal responsibility thing. If you're ignoring literally every other organization in the world other than Trump and just listening to what he says, that's not being responsible as an adult. That's going through life like an irresponsible dumb fuck.

K - but at what point do you just admit he fucked up the original response and admit that the general public has all the information they need on covid that is found in many other resources available than the Trump administration, and people have to start taking personal responsibility to stop the spread? This reminds me of the 40 year olds on the r/NEET board still blaming their parents for all their failures. At some point you need to put it behind you and push forward.

• Hospitals, doctors, university health departments publishing information
• States, local government publishing information
• International organizations

Think it's time to focus on personal responsibility? People know what is responsible behaviour during the pandemic it doesn't matter what Trump tweets.
