It's not as a bad as it was in march. It's not as scary anymore, people aren't dying that much and hospitals aren't overflowing. And life has to live.

That's not what people are saying here who live there they are saying the ICUs are filling up fast. You don't want to end up on a ventilator in a hospital even if they have room for you.

I live in Houston, and have multiple friends/family members who work in large hospitals. ICUs are nearly filled, and cases are surging like crazy.

Wish we had a leader who actually cared about all the deaths.

What do they do when the ICUs get filled? Let people drop dead on the subway/streets?

I've heard some reports out of places like Italy saying that this is the case but I'm sure in the next months they'll have a much better picture.

It might be mutating into a weaker strain like the other pandemics we had (SARS, H1N1 etc) where the strong strain kills the people and dies with them and the weaker forms that don't kill people live on and mutate.

I'm going to shed some context here and I know the liberals on here are going to be outraged (but hey aren't they always?)

We had a large, massive gathering 4 weeks ago in one of the biggest parks here in Toronto. No social distancing, 10s of thousands of people, close contact, drunken wild behavior etc. These people were strung up and they said they were going to be the reason we have a covid disaster in the city.

Not only did we not get that spike here but cases have actually substantially decreased since that time along with hospitalizations, deaths etc and not one confirmed case was linked to that gathering

Not saying it's a smart idea but just showing you the other side of the fence.

Look - I don't think it's reasonable to blame Trump for every dumbass you have in the USA. If you look at the guidelines Trump and the task force put out they were much safer than what people actually did and some states were completely reckless and disregarded them completely.
