Your sore throat experience matches mine to a T. On top of everything I mentioned earlier, it also never progressed beyond a mild nuisance. And I didn't really have any cough or cold whatsoever to go with it, which also never happens. The fact that there was no cough made me think covid was very unlikely at the time, but I couldn't get over the bizarre on and off nature of the whole thing.

I started developing a cough a tiny bit earlier today but it's hardly been noticeable, and at least right now I don't have a fever. Been feeling better most of today but still having uncomfortable chest pressure. I also ended up having about half of an energy drink earlier and it pretty much had no effect. So maybe the caffeine I drank at work before almost passing out really didn't have anything to do with it. I supplemented the energy drink with water as well and have been drinking water nonstop. I basically do that anyway so it's not much of a nuisance for me.

It's right around now that the chest pains get bad every night so we'll see if that continues to be the case.

Thank you for this. Those symptoms sound very frightening though. How old are you and I'm assuming you were generally in good health before all this?

I actually wonder if I haven't had coronavirus for a while now - or perhaps I had it, got better, and got it again with much worse symptoms. I had a sore throat for about two weeks earlier, but the weird thing was the sore throat wasn't a constant like pretty much any other time I've been sick in my life. I would have a sore throat bad one day and feel completely normal the next two and then have it again. I'm 28, so probably on the lower end of getting serious symptoms, but being a grocery worker on the way higher end of getting it in the first place. This makes me wonder if my theory of having it then was correct. And maybe it never went away and my symptoms just evolved like yours. I'm guessing testing only shows you if you have it or not, not how long you've had it?

Anyway, now I'm experiencing way more early symptoms - rash, stomach aches, diarrhea, chest pains - but I also feel fine like half the time. I normally vape and I absolutely have to stop. I mean, I already have for the last two days but I've snuck in a few hits this morning and that's just me being fucking stupid and nicotine addicted. Bout to throw that vape out or hide it in my car at least. But another question, did you ever drink caffeine during quarantine or just water? My exhaustion spell at work happened shortly after I drank an energy drink (I only drink sugar free kind at least) and I wonder how correlated those were. I don't plan to attempt drinking much caffeine any more, at least for a while, just curious if you experienced anything similar.

I'll be getting tested tomorrow and texting everyone at work suggesting they do the same. From what I've read the test will take three to five days to get back. I will fortunately be eligible for 14 days of 100% paid sick leave but after that I'm shit out of luck.

I also don't have health insurance (went to sign up for it earlier this year but was too late - turns out at Target you have a week to sign up for benefits and not a month or six weeks like everywhere else I've worked), so here's praying I don't wind up in the hospital and losing all the money I've saved up the last year.

Does anyone here currently have coronavirus or has been through it? Because I'm fairly sure I have it and would be interested in firsthand experiences.

I work at Target, so I've had a feeling for a while that this shit was bound to happen. So many fucking people are still shopping (and for clothes and non-essentials too) and not really adhering to social distancing.

I only started feeling strange like a day and a half to two days ago. But I've never experienced any symptoms like these before with any sickness, fatigue being the biggest and strangest one. Sometimes I feel complete exhaustion, to the point I thought I was going to pass out at work today (the only reason I showed up was because of my boss acting like I was a hypochondriac and said they absolutely needed me today; I was feeling pretty much normal when I came in but I should have done the right thing and refused). And my sleeping medication - which I've taken on and off for 10ish years - has suddenly had very scary effects on me. Like, it's normal for it to depress your heart rate a little, but the last two nights it seems to depress it much moreso and I've had noticeable heart palpitations. I was terrified to fall asleep last night because the sensation was so weird. So yeah...not taking that stuff anymore for a while. I'm also getting symptoms that are less reported: itching all over (this was the first symptom I noticed, a couple days before the fatigue) and suddenly today gastrointestinal symptoms. Googling those, they both show up as symptoms that were previously thought to be uncommon for Covid-19 but are being reported more frequently.

I'm not going back out in public until I get tested and it's negative. If I have it though, it's likely most employees at my store already have it too. We'll see what happens, but I'm going to hopefully get tested either tomorrow or Monday. The nearest place testing over the weekend is like an hour drive (I'm in Tennessee) and I just read that there should be testing maybe only 20 minutes from me Monday, so I might have to wait until then.

I think it actually got through all the dialogue because it was just ending. My guess is that you can only get one KK song a day? Be that from you or another person's island.

Either way GMUN that was incredible. While you were doing all that, my screen was in the credits mode thing! So you were whacking KK with the axe and whatnot while I was in that cinematic credits roll and it was maybe the funniest thing I've experienced in this game. 10/10

The Atlas Moth model is amazing. I'll be blown away if there's another model as cool as it in the whole game.

I wasn't saving my bugs and fish before but now I'm making sure to have at least three of each one. I've got one oarfish tucked away and am hoping at least that turns out to be a cool fish model. Because yeah, those have sucked so far.

I would add in a meter for tool degradation (or maybe just your tool looks all worn out when it only has a few uses left), unbreakable golden tools, and the bridge/incline thing I mentioned earlier and I'd be set. Oh yeah and for sure the ability to buy as much clothing as you want at once. That one has been more tedious than crafting fish bait lately.

So I take it there's no way to move bridges huh? You just have to demolish them and make a new one? I'm gonna guess there's an outrageous demolishing fee too smh. I had a cool idea to take out my clifftop suspension bridge, put it diagonally and do some waterscaping to surround it by cedar trees.

Would have been cool if they just let you move bridges/inclines whenever after you built them. And for free considering how much they cost to make.

One more question on my quest for a five star town: are you supposed to water already grown flowers too? Is there a purpose to that?

Jeez my golden slingshot broke already!? That thing lasted like two days. Guessing it lasts maybe three times as long as a regular slingshot which is pretty pathetic. They reaaaally should have made the golden tools last forever. And I haven't seen any gold nugs in ages either, and that includes on a few nook island trips. They seemed so easy to come by early on!

Also more than one villager can craft a DIY in a day? I did not know this until it happened to me today. Neat.

I finally started sprucing up my island a bit today after seeing one too many kickass islands on YouTube. Uhhh it will never have anything on GMUN's but it's coming along! It at least feels like a little town now.

But man I wish there was the shortcut mode you have in the house for island design. Placing tiles one by one is so tedious. Make like a construction wand or something available to craft that puts you in God mode for island designing.

Yaaaay. Rushed to check this topic and the AC board for good turnip prices when I got home and found none. So I typed in "animal crossing turnips reddit" and sure enough found a trading board. The folks with 500+ turnip prices have a bajillion comments in their threads but I found this nice fella selling for 317.

Whoaaa, there were high turnips here too huh? I resorted to the Animal Crossing board and made 1.6 mil today. The turnips were going for 549, yes please. Still have 13 slots of leftover turnips though!

Also made another cool 1.2 mil by trading this guy Nook tickets for royal crowns at a 1:1 ratio. Royal crowns sell for 300k a piece and cost 1.2 mil to buy. Why Nook tickets are so valuable on the AC board is baffling and hilarious to me, but I guess that's time travelers for ya. I suppose Nook miles are forced, inescapable grinding unlike the cheap methods of getting bells.

my biggest problem with modern AD is they feel the weird need to explain everything

if you're going to write the way that you do, have faith that your audience can keep up. season 4 rework was worse than the original, imho, because of this. at least when everything started coming together in the original season 4, you had glimpses of brilliance. the rework, in an attempt to fix the pacing, killed it by explaining everything ten times over and season 5 still had (milder) instances of this.

I work at Target and we're staying open. Today was the first day the panic shopping has died down and I have a feeling next week it will be a ghost town. That said, I interact with hundreds of people everyday and it kinda fucking sucks that Target is putting their employees at risk during this.
