This is the reason beverages like tomato juice/bloody marys are particularly popular on airplanes. Strong and sharp flavors will still come through. There's a whole sector of culinary arts and food science dedicated specifically to in flight food, and if you're lucky or savvy enough to be on the right flights you can actually get a very good meal. Like really? You can't just give the person credit? The art is already there, freely available to view at no cost... and people just take it for their own. Worst offenders are those that request commissions and offer "exposure" as compensation. Holy crap. Just pay them! There are art thieves who believe giving credit means giving up freedom.
