It's directly tied into BotW/its story, and I don't think I need to explain why that's important. 3. It's graphically waaaaaay better looking than HW1. 4. This drought has been gross I'm extremely skeptical of this being good, because KT has never done justice to a Nintendo franchise in terms of writing/story/characters. I'm moving forward on the pretense that it's going to be as bad as HW1 in that regard (read: really fucking bad). We'll just have to wait and see --- |

HW has the worst story and original characters and writing and presentation of practically any game I've ever played, and I've been pleased beyond belief that it isn't canon. The last time KT made a canon nintendo game in a beloved series, it did not uh, turn out very well. I am not optimistic about this. Since this is BotW focused, they can't go absolutely nuts with the fanservice like in HW, which is exactly why I love that game so much. And it seems like it will be canon- meaning that whatever bullshit KT comes up with may be an awful stain on the series, BotW in particular. I don't know how this is gonna turn out but I'm kinda scared about it tbh. At least they said they'd worked very closely with the Zelda team on everything story related. Still not super hopeful --- |
